came here to laugh but left genuinely impressed by this guys' acting abilities.
if you haven't seen it by now check out the dinner scene from the square. the guy going all out is terrifying.
@@maximiliandort3489 the man is basically a gymnast: none of his muscles are just for show, he’s incredibly agile and strong. That scene is insane. You are literally watching a wild animal.
I agree and the fact is that none of us can easily do it.
To laugh ? Why ?
This was koo😂
Even his sound effects are brilliant
Wow ! The guy is really the best at work
well he did play rocket lol
It's one thing to have a deep understanding of them.
It's another to mimic their habits to this level.
Absolutely impressive.
i could do this lol....
@@KabertaKneeGr0wCxntmanthen do it and post a video
The orginal trilogy did this better
@@KabertaKneeGr0wCxntmanI strongly agree with what Preston said, that would be awesome lol
@@KabertaKneeGr0wCxntmanyeah right !😂
There is a reason you are typing it here, and not doing it there .
This man taught me how to move like a chimp for 2 days. Was some prized knowledge for stunt creature work.
Whats the story?
@@ericg1100 hey brother. Story is that I work as a stunt performer for film. And sometimes we get asked to portray creatures like animals and monsters. I worked on planet of the apes as well but not to his caliber. He was part of my audition process and taught valuable knowledge. The thing I remember most, "Chimps never waste movement. They don't go anywhere unless there is reason. His interest is peaked. And it's only instinctual things that peak his nature. Food. Fight. Or mating." I still keep that audition in mind for future works of mine.
Thats awesome
That is awesome. Thanks for sharing!
@@georgequinones3043 Any advice for someone who wants to get into that line of work? I am really interested
Just imagine how extensively he has studied those animals. All acts were simply brilliant.
Here after seeing Nope, Terry absolutely crushed it
Nope? what did he play there? the horse xD?
@@DanielTejnicky Same animal he's playing here buddy
Really?
@@randyangel9412 he played the chimp going on a rampage on the set of the show
tery notary is propably the best guy to do movement training for any movie
Bro I wish humans kept the longer arms thing
@@ChimpWithaHandGrenaden human apes only had "long" looking arms because of their short legs (to make their front perch up when theyre on all fours)
The sound he makes in the end is what you will hear in both the movies, whenever Rocket has a dialogue. Its Awesome! Love that!
So amazing. Even the curve of the spine and how he compacts his proportions, the rhythm of the sway and gaze. For a moment you 'forget' the man and can see the animal instead.
We see the CG in the movie so we easily take things like this for granted with our assumptions.
wow he's very good at this...
I love the fact that Ryan Reynolds is teaching me about gorillas is absolutely amazing
Ok, but he looks nothing and sounds nothing like Ryan Reynolds though.
@@bootlegpete7984he does look like him
@@bootlegpete7984 he looks like Reynolds filmed from a distance
@@Chris-hw4mq And if you squint and dress him up in a monkey suit, ya
Everyone should watch this guy in the movie “the square”. He’s not like a bodybuilder, his physical abilities are incredible.
Loved that movie😊
That scene is u forgettable. (Same director as triangle of sadness, if you liked that youll like the square)
@@ericg1100 I appreciate the recommendation. I’ve never seen triangle of sadness but now I will check it out.
It's funny when one does ape like an amateur, but it's impressive when one does it professionally like this guy. His act is so real.
this dude has returned to monke
Terry is incredible, it's too bad he didn't have a bigger part as 'Rocket' in this film.
he should have been koba
@@johnkennedyreyes2634Toby nailed Koba
I feel like climbing trees now
😭😭feel like doing acrobatics
Watch movement coach Terry Notary demonstrate what it takes to be an ape in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
Apes seeing this:
"What the human doing?!"
Trying to return to monke
I love that he's still part of the team.
Wow, this level of understanding is art in itself.
When he says "just a quick little demo" at the end all bashful like, it reminded me of Step Brother's when Will Ferrell sings Let's Give 'Em Something To Talk About.
He is awesome and especially playing as Rocket in the movie
He's done the same thing he's doing here, with the same instruments he's using here in The Square scene. That's awesome!
you see a lot of that when you go to the club
When they all gather around females
Attention to detail is on another level!
What a legend, a clip of him was showed last sunday in a Dutch televisionshow from the movie The Square.
This was very impressive on so many levels
Run...
I'M SO DONE RIGHT NOW.
His scene in "The Square" was possibly the strongest in that movie.
1:23 You just KNOW this dude LOVES his job.
Terry Notary is amazing, an amazing talent!
Look how he keeps that healthy curve in his lumbar. Apes have a better stance than humans
i just love that if he isn’t speaking he is in full monkey mode
It's insane how they managed to convince us Terry isn't just a talking gorilla.
What a great, short and simple video. Mimicing things like this is hard.
I loved his appearance in The Square really destabilizing
I wonder what a person would think if he saw him do that outside the area doing that. That would awesome since he's good at it.
Watch the film, The Square.
Amazing physical acting.
"All right, I'll do it, but my heart won't be in it."
Acting like an animal for a movie, that would be a dream job for me.
I'm speechless to describe your acting.🔥💯✅
I can imagine some kid at 1:23 hearing that and saying "mommy, can we go see the apes". Then she has to break the news that it's just some guy
1:20 When someone says the pizza has arrived.
He is good at this :D
Kinda helps the seriousness of this that he's well built. Indeed what is at first perceived as something silly it is actually a display of the understanding of a completely different species. It always impresses me when people understand animals.
His body language is on point to mimic different apes. The muscles flow smoothly
The guy is such a professional!
simply amazing. he becomes the animals. masterful!
He is extraordinary! I found out about him from The Square. He really becomes those animals.
100% want to work with this guy. Brilliant.
Very impressive ape movements!
I LOVE THIS MOVIE ^_^ My favorite character is Blue Eyes, Caesar and Koba.
This is so good. Great VID and Reference. Nice.
The fact they have real professionals making sure they get it right is amazing
Love Terry Notary! Great as Rocket and great as stunt coordinator!
This is simply BRILLIANT !!! Thanks !
This is making my Sciatica act up!
When he mimicked the chimp he tapped into that genetic ancestral instinct and it came so naturally. 😆
Even the facial expressions are on point
Girlfriend: bet he is cheating me
Meanwhile me and the boys:
Any doubts that were related to monke just watch this guy.
As a person who has watched a lot of primates he captures them perfectly
I'm amazed!
I could watch him for hours
Can't believe this movie is almost a decade now
I need to come back and watch this when im not this stoned 😂
You can’t also believe he also played kong in the monsterverse and cull obsidian in avengers infinity war and endgame
Wonder if the people who were passing by thought the guy had some advanced, new type of crutches.
Very impressive.
what a preformance!!!
Amazing skill and abilities 💪
This was amazing!
That backdrop!! Also..They just mullered the fourth movie. The trailer had to gosh heckin cheek to call it the best in the franchise. woah!
Superb job. Really. Explained really well and great demonstration. This is Hollywood.
most impressive thing ive seen in a while
that was so cool. can't wait to see a movie...........finally. it looks GREAT.
So cool!
All this things bringing quality to the movies
Impresionante.
What a detailing man
That man has a gift
He is good at this
fascinating
This is exactly how I move around the house to let my dogs know "I'm in charge".
The Square brought me here. Love this guy!
Everyone giving props to Serkis, but Terry did a phenomenal job just as well in all 3 movies as Rocket!!
This is how I walk around the gym.
sound effects are the best
That's amazing! 😮👍
This is so fkn awesome
This is a great party trick people love it!!!
Incredible
I learned something from this. Impressive behavioural skills
why is he so good at this
Love this
He’s so good❤
INTERESTING!!!!!! Extra cool video!
I am having goosebumps
I love it. He absolutely nailed it. Wanted to see chimp, too.
those people probably think hes clinically insane
