Who cares ?
@@kathleen0303You did enough to come to this video and then comment.
She ruined Next Generation are you saying she was good in it? She's the original diversity hire, talentless and pointless in equal quantities.
Whoopi really was her mother's twin.👭🏾
So true
Her daughter really favours her, too.
True.
Truth 💛☀️👑
she even did the walk out and everything, as if she's not part of the show 🤣
Lol I thought it was cute
Yes I loved it 💯😂
😂 It confused me, I was like, wait ain’t she a host on THIS show ?😂 This is called professionalism
Sarah pointed out how she forgot to hug everyone though. But yeah, weird 😁.
The way she’s been acting, she won’t be a part of the show anymore hopefully.
My mother also had a nervous breakdown when I was very little and I am the same age as Whoopi. They wanted to put her in a mental institution but my father said no. She stayed home and recovered.. I love you Whoopi!!
Super cool!
It's a blessing your dad protected your mom ❤

Pathetic
when whoopi talks about deep things, it makes me emotional cuz she's one of the few celebrities i find authentic. amazing!
Definitely, frank. Though ironically, there's nothing authentic about the last name, Goldberg, lol.
@@skywalker6648 It's stage name. She isn't the first entertainer to have one. 🙄
What a DAs 😅😅😅
@@skywalker6648 Why so you have to wonder? Why wouldn't she tell the truth? Like they say, it takes one to know one. Do you have trouble telling the truth?

I’m turning 61 on May 14th and my mom is 87. STILL to this day, my Mom makes Christmas magical!! ❤❤❤❤❤
This comment was ‘hugs’ filled!!! My mom made holidays/everyday moments special too. The memories/photos carry me through times of mourning her & reconnecting. Thanks for cherishing your wonderful mom with inspiration for us to honor ours (past on or present) even more! Blessings!
Beautiful 🤍🤍🤍
Whoppi just took her mother’s face…… Wow
So funny to read your comment. My daughter said I stole my Mom's whole face. 😂😂😂
I love how Whoopi’s face lights up when she speaks about her brother! So beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your stories Ms. Whoopi 💜🙏🏽
The Legendary, Whoopi Goldberg!

Profoundly Amazing Beautiful, Iconic Queen Whoopi Goldberg, incredible Legend 👑💐
💯💯💯
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wow. I don't know too many people who have this story. I will be 67 yrs old this month and I still vividly remember watching my mother have a nervous breakdown when I was 11 yrs old. When I saw her again, I was 16. She had 5 girls so she didn't know who was who. She had been taken away to a mental hospital and given shock treatments. When she came back, she lived in a boarding home for about 30 yrs. She never had any control over her own life. She birthed 6 children and never got to be a mother to them.
She passed away years ago, but the pain of not knowing what it is to have a mother, or a father is still with me to this day.
So tragic and disturbing how a woman and mother can be robbed of her life and the relationships she could’ve had with her children. A mother’s love can be so innate but even when apart, you should know she would’ve always l❤️Ved you and your sisters♥️ Always
My heart aches to read this. So much love to your Mom and her precious family. 🫂🫂🤍🕊
I pray that God is healing you because of this. We all have situations like this in our lineage but we press on with the grace and mercy of God.
((((((((((( ❤️ )))))))))))
Your description of your life touched me so deeply. I pray you are okay now
Okay. This is so fun how they interviewed Whoopi
It really is 😂😂😂😂
Right she’s the guest this time 😂
Haha she's literally a guest on her own show 😂😂😂
This was awesome and the genuine interest of the cast is incredible.
That's ridiculous! My mom was a cafeteria manager for years. She made sure that all kids ate. If there were leftovers, she fed parents and their kids who were not in school. She only charged teachers. When my mom did, the whole school was devastated. My mom knew the rules; but, she would never turn a hungry child or parent away. That food goes straight to the garbage if no one eats it. It's a shame. There is more than enough food in this world for everyone to eat. Unfortunately, not everyone is given that privilege.
I hate that in some schools if the kids have a lunch balance. The schools will not feed them They can not eat. The cafeteria workers can get in trouble for feeding them. Some people have been fired for feeding the kids when they had an outstanding balance. Shame shame on our system.
Today they would rather throw the food away.
What does your story have to do with Whoopi’s interview? O.o
What she said about Grief, when people say how are you doing, I was angry because people kept asking me. Now I see why I got angry because I didn’t realize that they may have not experienced grief. I thank Whoopi for that.
I remember when Clyde passed away. Whoopi was off the show for a while. They said she had a family emergency or something like that 😢
💔
2:54 yup, that's Whoopi's mom alright! She looks just like her. RIP
THIS is the best interview this year. I know Whoopi, but this was a great interview.
I love Whoopi. Whoopi’s is her mother mini me. People don’t care for her because she not afraid to say what’s on her mind. That’s why I love ❤️ her.
My son ordered me this (by request) for my birthday last week. SIGNED! Can’t wait for it to get here. I didn’t even know what we had in common with our mothers. I only knew I loved Whoopi. Now I know another connection of ours
Congratulations Whoopi 🫶🏾❤️🙏🏾
Happy birthday and reading! 🎉🥂

I'm on the cusp Aries/Taurus
Do I count? Same as the late Queen and Tony Danza April 21.
Whoopi Goldberg looks just like her mother and brother
Shout out to Arlene here in Alabama
I recently lost my mom. Whoopi meant so much to her and also for me. We worked together at her business but for a respite to our life we watched Whoopi movies to escape the turmoils of our lives. We loved especially Corina Corina and Sister Act. Some how some where I wish I could thank her .( Whoopi) For letting us escape through her films. Thank you so much Whoopi.
Sara Haines moderating the way Whoopi Goldberg usually moderates I Love It
No surprises Sara is Whoopie's "love child", her favourite on the panel.
I love Sara Haines !!!! Congratulations to Ms Whoopi Goldberg wishing you continuous blessings 🙌🏽🙌🏽❤️
We love you Whoopi!

Lol
Love you Whoopi ❤
My second eldest Brother was murdered in 2014
My relationship with my Brother was as though we were the only children that our Parents had
We were two of the 16 children in our family
I still have a hard time believing that he is no longer here
Looking at her Brother brought tears to my eyes
Because her Brother is almost the mirror image of my Brother
May they both continue to rest in peace

I wish every show was 5 segments of all Whoopie, bliss
🤬
It's so interesting seeing Whoopi Goldberg sit usually where Joy Behar and Ana Navarro sits out
You like this show?
Whoopi said something that most miss; she realized that she did the same thing to her daughter that happened to her. TRAUMA, that was not addressed, which leads to repeated cycles of anxiety in families. Though painful, ievents must be addressed as soon as upon occurrence to help build emotional and mentally whole families. ❤
I don’t think most missed.
Whoopi Goldberg was so adorable as a little young child
Whoopi's Mom is gorgeous like her 😊😍
Thou shalt not lie.😂😂😂
Yes they are gorgeous 😍🥰😍
Whoopi has always been beautiful and so is her mother!
CK was my son’s baseball coach here in Berkeley. He was much loved. He encouraged each child to do their best, rather than compete with each other. Initially, he denied he that Whoopi was his sister, lol. Miss seeing him drive around town in his pristine VW bug! A true sweetheart. ❤
Thank-you Whoopi , I am 68 and my mother too disappeared at the age of 8 or 9 and I never got answers because of the outcome in my life afterwards. Malaho
I can’t wait to read this book
This made me cry and laugh already
I will look forward to reading your life memories beautiful soul ❤
❤😊. What a powerful book, Whoopi, sad and happy. 😊

💖 I met Whoopi many years ago at Whole Foods in Berkeley. I was so surprised and tickled I had to get her autograph & She was and is awesome. Her body of work has been a gift to all of us !
Awesome tribute to Whoopi Goldberg. A phenomenal woman of courage and perseverance.
My grandmother was depressed after the death of her 5yr old son being pushed off a slide during recess. Seems the solution was to put her in a mental institution w electric shock therapy, followed with the doc recommending she "have more babies". The boys were farmed out to relatives, the youngest staying away permanently. My heart aches so deeply that these were her options back then. Options made by men without any input from her. Truly heartbreaking. I love Whoopi so much and appreciate her sharing such a personal piece of her life with us. I'm looking forward to her story on audible... so much love Whoopi! ♥
😢😢😢😔🙏🙏🏼🙏🏽🙏🏻
I remember when Whoopi was an instructor at this school I went to in San Francisco in the early 1980’s , she was a comedy and improvisation teacher. I started to take the class, but went with music instead.
My dad worked for JPL/NASA and a week before I started high school he died. What I learned from the ‘adults’ accept for one (Sandy) was “Don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t talk about it.”
I am sorry about that!
Yes Whoopi Goldberg!!!!
Wow
first book promoted on this show i'm reading tbh 🤷♀😉
This segment made my day ❤️🫶🏾
Whoopi’s book will be Godsent to many. I also remember my mother having shock treatment for severe depression. Today it’s known as bipolar which still DOES NOT have a cure other than some medications that might help SOME. It’s often passed down from mother to child which I was diagnosed with. Back in the day, these topics weren’t discussed, even though we know more about depression, there’s still so much stigma. Here’s a cruel example…. Years ago while attending church, I filled out those prayer cards asking God to please heal me from this horrific illness. The Pastor asked me if I was willing to talk about my experiences in front of the congregation, so I did. The response was amazing… Now I had been volunteering at this church for several years. Working in the kitchen during children’s camp during the summer and through out the year. The children’s camp had it’s own staff so I did my own thing. But shortly after I made that speech, there was one Pastor that had his daughter in that summer camp and was adamant that he didn’t want me near her and complained to the other Pastors. I was more than devastated an never went back. 😢😢😢I still live with that unbearable pain and the embarrassment I felt that day. That church in many ways became my refuge since I had been widowed and was also an orphaned. ❤Lesson learned… now I just suffer in silence. Moral of this story… you may not understand the complexities of bipolar but compassion & empathy makes a world of difference ❤❤❤
That pastor's reaction is very heartbreaking 😢 but says more about him and his traumas than about you. Hugs to you from Toronto
A pastor? Really? Well Jesus would have had a word or two with him because he certainly didn't teach us to treat other with contempt because of their challenges. God bless you ma. May Almighty continue to wrap His arms round you..❤
That’s horrible, you should not suffer in silence. You should still be embraced by others at church. You never know the other lives you may affect, even young ones that can’t always speak up for themselves or understand what they may be going through, like you.
It’s so sad that a pastor would unwelcome you, but he does not speak for everyone at your church. He needs prayer.
Luke 23:34
Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”
This was so much about Unconditional Love!! 💜💜
Can we take a moment to appreciate how great Whoopi has been looking lately? The way she walks out exudes vitality and wellness.. You go girl!! 🙌🏽🩵
Whoopee always gives love ❤️
I was born in 84, and one of my earliest fave movies as a kid, was Ghost. As a performer in primary school, Sister Act was one of my absolute fave movies. Whoopi, you have been such an icon of talent, inspiration, humour, and just plain realness my whole life! I can't wait to read your book. Much love from Australia ❤❤
My fav movie with her is Ghost and Jumping Jack Flash. She was truly herself. I'm a chocolate girl born in 1982 and I didn't see ppl that looked like me doing what she was looking like her ❤
I love Whoopi, and they way her face lkte up talking about her brother.
I went through bullying and depression as a child all caused by my brother. I can relate to anyone dealing with depression.
I'm definitely buying and definitely reading...❤❤❤
Yes
*I love hearing about her life!*
Funny to see Whoopi in the center seat. Might just pick up a copy. :)
Thank you for helping some of us understand our lives. I, too, grew up as the older of two children raised by a single mother. Now that I am alone (Mother 1926-2014 and brother 1958-2017), I lave lost my anchors. Again, thank you, Whoopi.

Sister Act 1 will always be my husband and my favorite Whoopi time. God bless you
LMAO. This is often like than, because of the past; rare retransmit. She is much more brave, profile.
It's so funny how they interviewed Whoopi Goldberg 😂😂😂😂
being interviewed on the very show that u moderate is such a flex, I love it. Love u Whoopi
I really like Whoopi. I believe her when she talks. I’m grateful to have had her as an entertainer during my lifetime ❤️
I'm going to ordered this book. Wondering if I can get a signed copy. My husband passed away May 2020. Married for 42 years, and due to illness. He passed away in his sleep. I didnt get a chance to say goodbye. I love your show, and enjoy lively debates.
God Bless,❤❤❤😂😂😂

Very nice interview lady you all did a good job thank you ,and thank you Whoopi and God bless you always 🎉
Always remember Whoopi , God love you. And I'm very your Mother and Brother are looking down and they are so very proud of you. May God Bless You Always. ❤
I met Whoopi’s mother while walking my son to school in Berkeley, California.
I’m 22 at the time, i see this black woman doing yard work at her home that was a beautiful Victorian.
I stopped because i too wanted to try some yard work at my small apartment down the street.
I kept trying to study what she was doing while walking my boy and all the sudden my mouth dropped open and i said “ hey …. You look exactly like ….”
She smiled real big and shook her head yes.
I was new from the Midwest and had just had my first kinda encounter with a famous person.
I put my finger up to my mouth to say shhhhhh i will never tell a soul but is it ok when I walk my son to school to wave 👋🏽 she said absolutely.
Years later when i left and went back to the Midwest to buy my first home and heard of her passing, i remembered our quiet, gentle, sweet encounter 💛☀️👑 🕊
Great interview !! I love Whoopi!!! Her skin is beautiful …love the hair!!!!!❤
People kept asking me to let go of my brother but they don't understand that I can't because I don't know how to. He was THE only one for me after our mom passed away. We went through all different kind of emotions together. 16 years after losing our mom on October 5th, my brother too passed away on October 3rd. Can't just stop asking why? Why him and not me? Especially that I was older!!!
Whoopie's story captured me. I thought I had some unusual things that happened in my childhood but I am not alone. She is so authentic. There were so many secrets in my family when grew up.
I can't wait to read this book, with all of this life in it. People need to read this and learn more about the way the world was, not long ago. Things were starkly different for Black people and for women in the 1960s. We fought to get these changes, and we'll have to fight to keep them.
I ordered me and my BFF a signed copy of her book,I will be reading this in the Summer!!
She is her mother’s mini me 🥰
This is why she has always been and will forever be my favorite actress! Wishing her the best 🖤🖤🖤
Thanks for sharing with us Whoopi, you are an amazing women. Your mother did a wonderful job raising you and your brother 😊❤

"Parents just disappear"....so true; it happend to my Mom. Whoopi is such a great personality and a Force of Nature!!! My Mom,
Sis and I decided to buy a home and we raised our two kids. My mom has been great ever since then. Family is all...and knowing we have support for our children is my Mom's greatest wish.💞
Whoopi, my mom and sister are gone too… I will be buying your book soon, I appreciate you ❤
Her Mom was so beautiful! How did she do it? Black Woman Magic!!!❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I need to get that book for my collection
You can see there is a lot of trauma there. It takes a lot of courage to open up about it publicly in a memoir. A full life well lived in all its glory and hardships had many lessons for people to learn and understand. It’s important especially from someone of such a legendary entertainer ❤❤❤
I first saw Whoopi in a video while attending Cal Arts. She was not yet well known. I found her so memorable just in what I recall as some sort of street art performance. Not at all surprised she has gone on to have an iconic presence.
Whoopi is just an amazing person now and has always been that way. Keep being you and glad she is not in people bondage, not worrying about what they might say. Whoopi continue to be you.
Whoopi Goldberg absolutely Beautiful. Thank you for always being your true self.😊❤
We haven’t seen Whoopi Goldberg on the view in a long time!
What can I say...they are no words to describe her,all am going to say is WHOOPI,WHOOPI,WHOOPI.
