Do you notice a difference between Justin's channel and that of many other musicians?
It's something I've pointed out before: most other musicians get millions of requests in the comments.
I mean it's not meant like we think we know better than our favorite musicians, it's just that we naturally want our favorite artists to play our favorite songs.
Justin Johnson has comparatively few requests in his comments.

I have to agree with you on that. There's music that you listen to and then there's Pink Floyd that has to be experienced. Then there's Justin's music that touches your soul, and you have to listen to it repeatedly because you didn't catch something the first time. It also feels different...but the same every time you listen to it.

The first time I remember hearing "in the pines" was in the movie "Coal Miner"s Daughter in 1980. Sissy Spacek as Loretta Lynn sang it. Then years later, I heard Nirvana Unplugged. There was the song again. Very catchy.

I have a very narrow spectrum of music that I enjoy. Unless justin is behind the instrument. I used to work at The Ohio Theatre in Columbus Ohio many years ago. In a conversation with the Managers of K. A. P. A. We were discussing audience attendance. I made the comment about the 2 orchestra directors, and being able to tell who was directing while not seeing the Director. One played the notes, the other played the music. This is the experience I have when listening to Justin's music. Someone that is immersed in their music and understands what they want to convey to the listener goes beyond playing the notes. And that is the mark of a true musician. Not how much they spend on lessons or how long they have played. But how they feel the music in their heart. And in their soul.
((Anyone that watches MASH should remember the episode where a consert pianist lost his hand, and Winchester gave him another avenue to continue his music)) Justin,, please continue with your music in the manor that you are comfortable with, as it brings joy to those who listens to you, and happiness to yourself..

I love all kinds of music but have always leaned more towards the blues. JJ in my opinion is the best there is. while I was stationed in Afghanistan my two guitars were stolen, more sentimental value than monetary, one was signed by some fellow soldiers some of whom did not make it back. I still have an old beater that works just fine. Music , learning and playing the blues is just good therapy. And listening to Justin.
I don't know where this song came from, but if you listen real close, you can hear the rain falling into the puddles and feel the damp wind on your neck.
