As a long standing dnb fan, this track is one of the very best in the genre's history.

Liquid funk or just Liquid DnB is just a more relaxed (and possibly jazzy/soulful) approach to your standard aggressive Drum and Bass :)

2004 was a great year for drum and bass. Awesome music was coming out from everywhere! It all seemed to lose momentum after that.

it ebbs and flows with new styles and subgenres. I thought it got pretty dark after 2004-2007 or so very technical and ominous tones though out of that came gems like Hospital... What's happening today is no short of a second or maybe third renaissance of the genre.

I agree with you 100% Music is such a personal thing that comparing styles is pointless. people need to forget about genre, the technology, production methods and the right and wrong way of doing something and just sit back and enjoy music for what its meant to be.

I can honestly testify this tune is what reeled me in to this genre back in 04 when I first heard it on a MC Convention cassette with MC Skibadee (R.I.P) spitting the maddest bars. Good times. Timeless vibe.
