They've been around for a while & getting harder to find, but I still think they are still very good quality sound, even in comparison with the newer T100 I don't regret my purchase which I made based upon your previous comparisons of Creative T40 ll They don't make em like they used to.

    sounds more accurate when you place the speaker on top of a foam like your previous reviews. Anyways the sound ot the T100 is sort of liike the Bose companion 20 w/c lacks on the mid frequencies w/c make it thin sounding and not full bodied.

    Great video! I own the T40 which do sound great but I get this "humming" noise coming from the speakers even at low levels. I've since learned this has nothing to do with the speakers themselves but more likely an interference between my power supply and the sound board. I didn't have that humming noise with my old speakers (logitech) which were connected via optical cable (the T40's do not have optical cable option). So I've just ordered the T100 which do have optical audio IN and hoping this will resolve the issue. Watching this video, I'm pleased to notice that they both sound incredibly good. Thanks!

    The treble on T100 sounds like the one from a JBL portable speaker, which is harsh and overly pronounced, may appear to be like the speakers used for stage performances for some people, but for smaller sound systems this sort of sound signature is unpleasant to ears.

    Hi there! New year and "new formula" of the comparison video appears. I got rid of the "source track" section to simplify the comparison, as some of you where confused by it. It may return in the future though, so let me know what do you think about this change. Cheers!

      My thinking when removing "source track" was that budget multimedia speakers all sound far from the original track anyway and people just want the ones that sound more pleasing to their ear. Source track will return for studio monitors comparisons for sure, but I will see if it will return for multimedia speakers as well. Keep the opinions coming anyway though!

    • @SilkJester
      @SilkJester Před 4 lety +3

      It's been said already, but if it's worth saying, it's worth saying twice so here's my two cents; Removing the "source track" section removes the reference point so you're left with two interpretations of the track but no reference to compare to, especially since the end speakers can differ so much. The "reference" is the track without the "colour" of the tested speakers. Just saying. (I'm mostly saying this for the folks that were confused by the "source track" section)

    especially when it comes to shredding guitars and so on, listen to the "metalhead" part and you know what i mean..its just aweful...reminds of Bose at times...

      @DSAUDIOreview  Před 4 lety +10

      Are they worth it? As always - that depends. If you look for sleek and compact speakers with Bluetooth 5.0, remote control, optical input and USB input that I guess they are worth it. They sound decent enough to be solid choice for multimedia use on desk or as a TV speakers upgrade. If on the other hand you are looking for the best sound overall and do not need all those bells and whistles than there are better solutions on the market at this price point

    Muy buenos altavoces calidad/precio/TAMAÑO, y lo pongo en mayúsculas porque son ideales si eres más práctico que audiófilo y no quieres tener todo el escritorio ocupado con cajas de madera. Y lo dice alguien que viene de unos Edifier R1800BT, que unos cuantos años me han durado. Fantásticos.
    Éstos Creative para películas y juegos van de lujo.
    En el mismo rango de precios y si se tiene espacio: los Edifier 1280, que sí que están a otro nivel.
    Término medio: los Presonus Eris 3.5.

      Yesterday I heard difference between T10, T20 and T40. I think T10 have good bass but you can't turn it down because lack of bass knob (T10 have only treble knob). T20 have better quality tweeter and bass knob - they're more balanced and sound clearer in upper tones. T40 are like 3-way speakers because upper speaker is midrange speaker but play more bass, lower speaker is also mid and play mid. T40 sound best for me. I didn't heard T100 playing but they have only one all-range speaker membrane and I think It's not good idea because physically small diameter membrane are better for higher frequencies and big diameter membrane are better for low frequencies. That's why subwoofers have big membranes. If you have one all-range membrane it's for me like all-condition (summer+winter) tires - not too hard in summer, not too soft in winter but better is to have tires specialized for one condition. Maybe something changed in technology and someone will correct me :)

    Alright, I just have to chime in here. First of all, I've listened to your various comparisons between various speakers - nice job. However, when I read the comments posted, I kind of have to roll my eyes, and why? Simply, folks are listening and watching these comparisons with computer speakers they may have on hand - whether it be small PC sound bars, or other book-shelf styled speakers, or yes, in some cases, the built in speakers of their monitors. So how in the hell can accurate judgements be rendered when what they are hearing is inherently colored and/or distorted by the drivers they are listening to. It's different when you are witnessing the comparisons in person because you are using your hearing without the help of added amplification, but via the web - c'mon some of you wannabee audiophiles - you know better than this! Sigh...

    Ok a very disappointing experience this video i know you meant it well, but you can´t hear much difference over youtube. So i rather have some first hand info from you that is in the same room as the speaker setups. About the sound quality, well I am setting in my studio with my KRK neutral sound monitors, so if i can´t hear much difference in quality etc. I gues no one else can. I hear mostly different volume and a tiny bit quality difference. So please next time don´t do it like this, it just don´t give us any real input. However the look cool and really wanted ti hear your feedback. All the best from DANE

    T40は低音もズンズンくるし音もクリアでいいんだけど、自動スリープ機能というマジでいらない機能だけがネック…!
    しばらく再生してないと勝手に自動スリープになっちゃって復帰するまでに3~5秒かかるから、CZcams再生しても最初の3秒位は毎回無音なのよー…
    メールとか通知音も聞こえなくて大事な通知見逃しちゃうし、自動スリープはOFFにも出来ない強制的な仕様だからT40売っちゃった…
