- A knife attack was stopped by off-duty police officers in Southwark, London.

The attacker was rushed by police, all wearing civilian clothes, as he swiped at them with a weapon. The man has been jailed and the officers were praised for their "exceptional" heroism.

Imagine this response every time a knife crime took place. Our streets would be much safer.

Improper lenient sentencing is the real issue.
London isn't telling you of the thousands of knife attacks there every year. The Muslim community is the biggest part of that problem.
If Londons cops could carry guns or OC spray they would not have to get that close to a knife.
You couldn't even overthrow your monarchy. What makes you think you could stop knife attacks in your country?
Imagine stabbing someone and looking up and seeing 10 big dude's running at you full speed with ZERO regard for your knife! Dude knew he was about to catch a beating. 😂

@@Dethstrat I did 1 week of continuous work away back in 1991, I did grab a few hours sleep here and there. It was near Christmas and the work was short staffed. I was done It took me weeks to get back to normality. Never again. 8 hours a day is sufficient.
It's like when doctors take the hippocratic oath. Yes they may not be on the clock or " officially " at work. But when they swear in as a Doctor, like police do to uphold the law, their oath includes assisting when needed if they are able to do so.
You hear all the time of doctors in restaurants or on a plane or something dealing with an emergency. Same applies for police. They are legally obliged to intervene if they witness something happen which they have sworn to protect, assist with or aid.
They don't get paid for it no. But it comes with the badge, doctorate, responsibility etc..
Solidarity is a powerful thing....remember that young men.

Dangerous situation and, they did not fear for their own lives or play the "OFFICERS SAFETY" game! Personal risk goes with the occupation!!! This is a very commendable response!
I know right? Not like the police in the USA that don't even try to go into a school where there is a gun man who is shooting and killing young children who have not even had more than 6 or 7 years of life, then when the parents try to get in there to save their own kids, the police were arresting them and trying to stop them from getting to their kids. There was so many police on the scene that they could have gone in the school with 20 plus of them and saved a lot of the children who had been shot and killed by the gunman, but they just stayed outside and let him do what he wanted to do which was to commit killings against babies who could not help or defend them selves. In the end he shot himself in the head before the police even tried to get in there and save those kids. But if they are trying to arrest someone who is not doing what they are telling the person because they are making an illegal arrest and the person is not armed, that means nothing, they will shoot and kill the unarmed person due to having the knowledge that they will get away with the murder of the innocent person.
