I love your videos!!!!! You are so explicit and detailed for the beginner! Thank you!!! BTW….love your hair style!!!!
Jill you are such a wonderful teacher! I love your videos! ❤️. I love these bracelets and have not made one yet. I like the idea of thread and I haven’t seen anyone else show them with thread. Going to look at Tilas now. Thank you so much! Shari
You are so welcome! You made my day with your sweet words!
Fabulous tutorial. Just what I was looking for. Thank you, Jill.
Love Tilas and these bracelets! Jill always gives the best suggestions on how to complete a project. One thing I've done to make these bracelets more flexible when making these bracelets is to to add delicas every inch or so or more often if you want. It helps with the flexibility. Thank you Jill for being the best teacher and for having such a great store.
Great tip! Thanks for sharing it!!
Lovely little bracelet. Thanks, Jill, for sharing the technique for making it with us.
Thank you for the tutorial and pattern. These bracelets are beautiful.
I've done stretchy Tila bracelets but never bead weaving. Have to say I much prefer your bead weaving technique! Since I'm also a fan of the ball and socket clasp, we have a winner here!! Thanks :)
I love making bracelets with tilas. Thanks for this technique!
So pretty and quick too. Thank you Jill❤
These are all gorgeous ❤
You are awesome thank you for all the sharing you do!! I have learned so much from you!
Thanks Jill, a simple but very effective bracelet!❤ Thanks for sharing this technique
Love this! Thanks for all the tips, Jill!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you, Jill. I love the color combos they have for tila beads. Those are great tips for those of us who struggle with stretch cord/string. I have seen bangles done with tila beads on memory wire so maybe you could also include that if you are comfortable with it.
Good idea! I'll add it to my video list!
And thanks for the in depth research!!
Great tutorial! Love your necklace too❤
Thank you!! 😊
I love your tutorials and your designs. You are a great teacher and a great person!
Thank you Jill for sharing your expertise in Jewelry designing! Im learning so much!❤. I didn’t even know what a Tila bead was! Where have I been! Lol
Thanks Jill. I have been meaning to trial the use of other threads and now I don't need to!
GREAT!!!!!!! Thankyou so much
Love your video! I have done many Tila beads with other beads but never whole , half and quarter tilas! Love the look!!
Your voice is so pleasant❤. Excellent tutorial. I'm brand new to these beads and yours is the best.
Thank you so much! What a lovely compliment! Welcome to our corner of the bead world!
I didn't find a link to how to use stretch. I haven't had any luck at all doing the stretch cord and ties/glue ending on two-hole stretch bracelets.
Oooooo, another fun Tila project! I love how lightweight and smooth they are on my wrist. Definitely going to have to give these a go… next month 😂 i blew my June budget in my last two orders 😂🤣😂💜 I only have two full size Tilas and three half Tilas in my stash and of course I absolutely MUST play with color and pattern (so many possibilities my head is going to explode!) In the meantime I can drool, and fill up my wishlist. Thanks so much Jill.
Honestly, the amount of options for color and pattern has been what's kept me from making kits available for this. I can't settle my mind down to just a few choices!! But soon....
@@JillWisemanDesigns I know! I don’t get kits anymore because I’m such a color nut - I want to play with them all myself. You know, you started it all off a couple of years ago with the delicas - all those luscious purples got me hooked. I get so many little envelopes of goodies so often dear hubby and son know who you are! I’m still building my delica stash… and my rocaille stash… and my tila stash… and my pearl stash.. and my crystal stash.. and, and, and… 😂😂😂 “Hello, my name is Laura and I’m addicted to JWD” 💜
Super nice
Thank you!!!
That was fun & very cute, Jill. I’m not see the stretchy cord video. Can you help me? I did watch someone else and she did the crimping & covers 😮😉. I agree, I think the thread will last longer. I’ve been out & about and had a bracelet break. Not fun!
I do love this, but I prefer a printed pattern. Hope you will have this pattern in your 'free patterns' on your website soon.
Thank you Jill for the tutorial The bracelet is beautiful.. I made my bracelet using full tila and half quarter tila. Can you do a tutorial with tilas, but make the bracelet wider?
I like the idea! I'll see what I can do!
Thanks so much for this video. Love your designs. Any chance you could send me the link to the tila stretchy bracelet.
Hi Jill, love the green/bronze bracelet in this video. I was wondering if you could list all of the colors of the green bronze bracelet. I purchased the tilas on your list but ai am short of a couple of colors. Thank you, Sue
Jill, thank you for another excellent video. Would it be possible to post which Tila colors you used for your samples?
It took me a bit to hunt up the sample so I could find out! But I finally discovered it in a pile on my desk! LOL Here's what I used:
Full Tilas
• Seafoam Green Picasso - shop.jillwisemandesigns.com/tila-beads-color-4514-seafoam-green-picasso-10-gr/
Half Tilas
• Dark Bronze - shop.jillwisemandesigns.com/half-tilas-dark-bronze-color-457-10-gr/
Quarter Tilas
• Grey Ceylon - shop.jillwisemandesigns.com/quarter-tilas-grey-ceylon-color-526-10-gr/
• Matte Metallic Patina Iris - shop.jillwisemandesigns.com/quarter-tilas-matte-metallic-patina-iris-color-2008-10-gr/
Hello, Jill! Thanks for confirming some of my concerns about using stretchy cord. May I ask what size needles you used with the Nozue Sonoko thread? Thanks-Kate
I wonder how dragon thread would work? It's a tad more flexible than fireline but as much as the one G or Miyuki thread. It might be the perfect in between. I'm not a big fan of dragon thread but there are times that using is a good thing
I don't have any Dragon Thread to try, but I imagine it would work quite well. The only way to know for sure is to try it out!
Can you tell me what colors you used for the full qtr tila bead bracelet?
Love this tutorial! I made one with fireline and it came out great. I would love to also try making one using elastic. Will you be doing a video for this?
Yes I will! I hope to release it next week. :-)
Have you released the stretchy tila bracelet yet?
I am *really* new to beading, so one of the things I've kind of ended up doing is going "ooh, that looks so cool!" ... and then I grabbed a couple of "samplers" (like 5g) of a few things that I've no idea how to use?
So. Pinch beads and dragon scale bead. What can I do with them? Do they look good with the various stitches you've shared (I've been marathoning a lot of your videos), and do you have any projects with one or the other?
I actually don't have any projects that use them, which is funny because I love both those shapes so much!
Is there another beading thread you would recommend for this project since the Hana has been discontinued? I love the bracelets!
Yes - I love One G and Nozue Sonoko threads. I carry both: shop.jillwisemandesigns.com/beading-thread/
I recently started carrying KO thread also as a customer request - there are a lot of folks who LOVE KO. I haven't worked with it a lot yet, but so far I like it.
Hi! Will you have kits for these bracelets? Maybe with different threads! I love them! (It will be easier than buying all the treads….)
I had planned to have kits ready to go with the release of the video, but you know, life happened. And I decided to not hold the video for the kits any longer. So yes, eventually there will be kits....but I can't promise when. The best way to know is to be subscribed to my email list: jillwisemandesigns.com/newsletter/
I have never worked with tila beads. Just wondering if you can make it wider.
A wider one can be done, but it would be a more complicated project, and be it's own design.
Where is the stretch cord tutorial as you stated
This is such an easy and versatile project. You favorite color combo is also mine. Not sure which color choices they are on your website though?
I just knew someone was going to ask that. LOL! And I can't find the sample at the moment to match them up. As soon as I do, I'll come back here and let you know. Sorry!! Jill
@@JillWisemanDesigns Yes, please share your color choices!
@@JillWisemanDesignsNo worries, I just went hog wild and placed a large order so I’m sure I’ll come up with a good color combo. Thanks so much for offering that discount! 😊
Great tutorial ❤ Can I use Nymo thread for these bracelets?
Yes, absolutely!
Thank you so much ❤
Any chance we can get the colors for the top bracelet? Or a kit with those colors?
Those colors along with links are in the video description! Isn't it gorgeous???
Where is the video description, please?
What the advocates of stretchy cord never mention is that the stretchy cord eventually stretches, becoming limp and leaving gaps between beads. I wouldn't waste my time with it unless I were making a bracelet or quickie project for a young girl. It might also be handy for someone with arthritis who can't handle clasps; but you have to accept that the bracelet will stretch out of shape.
Actually, I DO mention that every time I do a stretch cord video. It's for fast fashion, not for long-term (more than a year or two) jewelry.
Ladies, big tip, I've been using magnet clasps on all of my jewelry. Saves time and trouble putting it on, you don't need 2 hands.
Love magnetic clasps! Just have to be careful to get high quality, strong magnets.
Well, if the creator doesn't get to the point in 2 mins, I just scram.
Bye.
