you can even cut the large diameter tubes on bike racks fairly easily with any cheap hacksaw. You don't need a quality blade either, dollar store faire will suffice. this rack however is particularly awful, it is not only removable by undoing only one nut, but the part you are "supposed" to lock onto is croppable with bolt cutters and the whole stand is rusty, seemingly made of very low grade steel. So even if you just had a brick, you could dent the stand and then keep flexing it till it snapped.

I don't need the extra length of the lock, and I find that the thicker appearance of the cylinder seems to daunt thieves (and the shorter U gives less places to get leverage). btw if somebody still ends up with a mini-6 like me, definitely suck the grit out of the lock and blow it out of the rotating cuff, spin it around until the grit stops and spins smoothly and key goes in smoothly. My locks are all kryptonite - mini front wheel to frame, rear wheel through frame to bar, hi tensile cable front to back and through pedal crank, and a third krytonite to a secondary point usually it only just reaches. Also that bike stand is the worst I have ever seen. You could lift it off the ground by undoing just one bolt. You can also easily crop the skinny bar that the bike is locked to with your small bolt cutters. It will be made of mild steel that you could cut even with a wire saw.

The police will do literally nothing if someone steals your bike. It is not taken at seriously no matter how expensive the bike is. They will, however, spend their entire shift running licence plates looking for stolen cars - because stealing cars is a very "bad" thing in a city run by car people for car people.

I haven't had any HUGE issues with this lock yet! czcams.com/users/postUgkxfyHDlEqk6hqu9acdvK5NGzZsGKSokSbv It seems sturdy and like it will get the job done. I really like that it has a twisting lock feature to keep out dirt and debris. However, the mounting system is much too light for the lock, and continues to get loose/move around. It's mostly made of plastic parts, and I've had to tighten it a few times in the past week or so that I've had it. I'm worried that it's going to break off at some point while I'm riding. I'm considering just scrapping that part, but that would mean having to carry the heavy lock i my backpack and adding more weight. I wish I could have given this more stars, but without the mounting system, it's just another heavy lock that I have to cart around. UPDATE: Increased rating to 5 stars because the seller offered to provide a new lock and mounting system. Really appreciate the attention to customer service!!

dude i could have cut that
    you cannot use bolt cutters
cut a point and bounce on it it’s going through
    with smaller bolt
you cutters you can cut solid steal
you literally just out your weight in it and the pressure moves the handle to the side
you need to keep them straight and apply
    pressure on and off
    send me a lock
    i’ll prove you wrong

Maybe you should learn how to use the tool before any testing...

It dont take a genius to work out that this sort of lock was not going to be cut with bolt cutters you need a grinder still entertaining to watch your try

That 30" bolt cutter is not correctly setup, you have to increase the gap between cutters and then the handles will come closer too each other and you get maximum leverage. You are not even getting 50% with that bolt cutter, and it would in no doubt, cut that in 2 seconds if the gap was correctly set :) I prefer to use cordless drill operated bolt cutters "hydraulic", they are small and fast.
