I was so amazed to not be able to see a single one of the actors on the ground breathing, the way the director was able to angle the camera to make this whole scene feel like a single shot while also allowing the actors to obviously breath and then hold their breath when they were back in the frame, very very well done.

I think the video means to show how lonely it can be within the crowds. Those nights when your friends are gone. The way the actors are laying still around Dan is how some friends do just exist and some nights are hard to get by but they don't react. Or it could be the skeletons we hide in the closets that haunting us in those nights.

There are those nights when I just want somebody to talk to, like right now, but I don’t have anyone around except myself. Definitely my favorite off the album. I love QPM, I thoroughly enjoy Doom Days, and Joy ain't half bad, but when they released this I was like, "yep, this album is gonna be their best one" and I was not wrong.

I think this song is about how everyone is and does get lonely at some point but you don't know how to feel at the moment. I like the recurrent theme of you being surrounded by people from the beginning of Quarter Past Midnight kind of pulling you into the night and then this. Even in a room full of people, you can still feel a sense of loneliness as the longing for the greatest moments with those people by your side, as they all go to sleep - as you all go to sleep. It's the magic of how truly fleeting time is and how sad it can be concurrently. Being left alone with your own mind, can bring you great despair, and you just hope that someone else can take that away. What a brilliant way of encompassing those emotions in the span of a night. Also love how Doom Days Society had a similar photo and evoked so many different perspectives from people.

He is looking for a hook up and therefore stayed at the event he is, despite his friends had already gone. But in fact he is looking for someone to love, not someone to just have sex with (he is looking for "heaven" on those nights but knows it's not the way he will find it -> "you never get to heaven on a night like this"
Therefore in the video he is lying on on a bulk of ex-lovers, that all weren't his way to love, just another distraction from his loneliness.
