- Jason had to clear his head so he went over to the Pizza Hut on Manchaca, and while on his last man in the Master Splinter fight, he realized that all it really takes to be a true ninja is the holy-coveted shuriken.
We said it in the episode, but just in case you only read the descriptions but don't watch the episode, it's worth telling you that this isn't the kind of thing you should actually be making. We couldn't possibly encourage that, because these are weapons. Know your laws and use common sense, the most common of those senses being to just not make 'em.

They are secretly preparing us for the apocalypse by teaching us how to make all sorts of weapons. What they don't realize is that by doing this the survivors of the apocalypse will be a bunch of nerds throwing shurikens at each other.
If all goes according to plan - more likely we'll start by attacking people with tiny shurikens and then got shot with actual guns.

I used a hunting slingshot with small iron shuriken stars to defend my house here in mexico i almost killed that thug i shot him to the stomatch and he entered into my house and I and my mom were alone , so i did it i protected my mom with that thing and its a pretty deadly weapon, the police said that it was like a bullet wound his stomatch was a mess

Me and my brother use to throw cards as kids and we had it down to an art. We held it using the thumb and the pointer finger. With a quick flick of the wrist we threw them much harder than we could the way you show. We weren't always accurate but I stuck a baseball card in my brothers face. It legit just stuck there hanging from his forehead. I was a ninja that day! I've always thrown cards for fun and got pretty damn good at it honestly.
Thats how I through cards man. I hate the technique they use its way less accurate for me.

It's really fun seeing you guys make shuriken out of those things. See, where I live, there are still a lot of houses being built, so we often find these things lying around. Back when we first moved out here, we would collect the ones that were in good shape, and throw them at each other as part of a game we played, Assassins. Naturally, we called them ninja throwing stars. So, to see y'all making actual ninja throwing stars out of them just hits me with all kinds of nostalgia.

I always liked making a little more durable shuriken using old circular saw blades
Experimental Professor I made baterangs out of same material
Shurikens were deadly in the sense that the blade was not meant to kill but often times they were dipped or laced with poison so getting stung by one could still kill just by poisoning instead of stabbing or puncture.

We did this at work one time at the end of the year when we had a stack on non-functioning badges. We just stacked a few on top of each other using the adhesive already on the badges, rotated them, cut them, and threw them at targets. Surprisingly sharp and effective.

Used to make em with 2 (or more) of those trapezoid shaped box cutter blades stuck together with some sticky tack. Worked surprisingly well

This taught me more about throwing cards than making stars.
Now I'm wondering where to get the same material/thickness of the discs but large enough to cut a playing card shape from. I want to see if its possible to make a convincing looking playing card from that material and come up with an effect based on that vs a regular card.
On the list of things to not try at home this is near the top of that list

I used a wrist rocket in combination with a 4 point star and it was really impressive. It would stick half way into a 2x4 and you had to stand on the wood and use a vice grip to remove the star.
