Sooo true! TWBC and FPM are totally changing the game! Thank goodness!! Definitely have to keep it moving. I love it. The conversation is great to try to get others involved and to get new people in. Rob and Marcus are ones to make it happen!

18:48 fantastic conversation - love it - I’m an average skier who desperately wants to see the top pro’s ski for real once a year and then watch every minute of every TWBC broadcast - they are fantastic - don’t forget the diehards who want to see as much skiing as possible at the highest standard and there is also something about it being over all too quickly. Men starting at 12m and women at 13 with short drops would seem to be the ideal compromise. And get the organisers to up the ante off the lake like Kyaphos and Moomba - that is where the non-diehards will get their fun.
Thank you for all you do guys

My family would love to watch a well done one hour edit of a two day tournament. Something similar to how the outdoor life network did with Rhoni Barton Bischoff and Dave Benzel.

People are always more interested in high drama. Doesn't matter the sport. We OCD folks watch early rounds because we want to be better skiers. We stay around for the great skiing and drama of who has it that day. I think both format and editing need to be addressed for more broad interest. Personally I like the head to head format tournament style. That elevates drama. Just waiting for the day when we cross over to hockey. Freddie swims over to Nate and a fist fight breaks out behind the boats! LOL But seriously, the editing can package all this into a great 1 hour show.

Keep qualifying the same. True ski fans are the only ones who will watch it. For the finals or “main event” I love the 3 pass idea. You could give everyone a couple passes before the broadcast starts as a warmup and to judge current conditions. But you get 3 passes. You can start at 35 but if you don’t opt up to 39 you won’t get a shot at 41. The only way to get a fourth pass is to run 41.
With 8 skier finals it should drastically cut down on time. And I still think rob could get into 41 with this format!

I think some of the formats or specific tournament rules can be altered to make it more 'appealing'. For example create an event that encourages the best individual performance. For example in round 1 if someone gets 4 at 41, but in round 2 and 3 the best score is 3 at 41. The guy that had the best performance wins even though that was done in round 1. It could be called a 'shootout'. It would encourage better and better performances.

In other words to expand on the concept, it would take all the emphasis off of the strategizing from competitor to competitor... so no more trying to just get 'enough' to make it to day 2...Of course there could be a cut... say the top 8 or 10 of the day move on to day 2...but it would still encourage a lot more 'going for it' from the athlete's perspective.

People hate hate hate this idea.
You run the fields either backwards or randomized. You don't give top seed last spot.
Watch the viewership on TWBC people show up to watch online as the top seeds come on.
The first few skiers people dont really watch. If you tune in for the last 2 or 3 skiers reliably they all fall into line and the top seed usually puts up a winning score. But say Nate is skiing behind a Mastercraft does he even bother taking a crack at 43 if he only needed 4 at 41 to win? Nope back to the dock.
Now I personally like top seeds first. Make the top guy put up a score for people to chase. If that's 3 at 41 there are a lot or skiers left in that running order who get a couple at 41 and a lot of skiers who regularly get down 39. That score stops being as safe looking.
Now every skier even the last seed has drama because there is always that chance he goes out and runs something.
To which people go then people will sandbag for placement nope go off ranking.
I think this is the only real fix to see the best skiing with the most drama. Alot like when as occassionally happens a lower placed skier comes out with a huge score early then it's on the top seeded people have a big target. And people get pumped on site and online.
To get this every tournament you need to make the top dog motivated to give a top score at every tournament behind every brand boat.
Which will also cure the evilness that befalls the likes of jumpers that do too well behind the wrong boat. Welp did you want your skiers to win or.....
