That is a nice bed !!! A little history for everyone about the term Hotshot , I am a retired Hotshot Trucker . In my day Hotshot Trucker was a Driver in a big rig that would pick up in a city say Chicago and run directly to the drop off say El Paso without stopping except for fuel . We had a few tricks to accomplish this task . Over the years I noticed the trucks have gotten smaller , there was a time when I noticed many Straight Trucks with sleepers , now I see Dually pick-ups with Gooseneck trailers and it makes me wonder , Does Hotshot still mean driving from a-b without stopping no matter how far ?
Been wanting to last bed for along time now, I am completely in love with the exoskeleton design you did. Great job from braeking out of the normal designs.
Why not hot dip galvanized the bed before final paint. Steelwork would not survive here in UK, having it galvanised is almost as cheap as painting nowadays, and last a lifetime.
@@user-ix4dl1dy7q custom just wanted this style, he uses the pintle hook, but if he goes gooseneck or fifth wheel he is gunna do the rail setup, thats why i built it so heavy lol! I actually have to fabricate and add some custom boxes so stay tuned for that video!
@@nonsequitur807 its just the style the customer wanted, if he decides to get a gooseneck or fifth wheel, i made it heavy enough to put the rail system like he asked, mainly tows his equipment with the pintle hook trailer
Been thinking of something similar, super job! Thanks

How much does that weigh vs a convential flatbed? Full deck would be a lot more useful I think. Nice job on the build.
