First I want to say that I think you are very beautiful! I love your eyes and your cheeks! I want to thank you for sharing your ideas, I no longer buy branded clothes, branded sneakers, use a bicycle, transport apps or public transport. I buy the basics and limit myself to what I really need for each situation in life. I hope one day I get to meet you in person. Success to you. ;)
it's so true about books. i used to buy alot of books before gradually settling for secondhand books. but overtime it adds up too. now i am relying on the library, libby app and kindle for my reading. it really saves a ton.
When I settle down and don’t move as frequently, I would love to build out a small personal library of my favorite books I’ve read. Until then, public libraries and libby it is!
Happy iPhone 10 user here! I cannot compete in the rat race that is overconsumption. I really try to use all items for its entire lifespan and if it is damaged, I try to repair the item to further it’s life and make it one of a kind❤
I feel the same about books. I’ve started checking my local library first and then free audiobook apps. I’ve also started working on a capsule wardrobe moving away from trendy clothing. Hoping the little things will make a big impact.
I really needed to hear this, I’ve been more intentional about my spending since I turned 18 this year. Your videos help me organise my expenses better. Thank you so much for making them ☺️
Happy iPhone 11 user here! I also can’t justify buying new phone every year or every other year. It’s just not worth it for me. Recently I had my first laser face treatment and it was definitely worth it. I will make a place in my budget for 2 treatments per year. I used to spend a lot of money on skincare to fix issues that one laser session resolved. I love makeup and I allow myself to buy some new products when I’m on vacation in Japan or Korea twice a year. It’s not only more fun but I also found that colours and formulas look better, are easier to use and more affordable.

What are some unconventional items or services you don't buy?

Starting the habit early is an incredible advantage!
@@karllyfeng Thank you, I’ve been putting more effort into saving lately and it’s going great 😊
I feel as though books are a must-have for my social milieu. It doesnt even matter if I've read any of the books.
That's sad
I’m surprised you didn’t mention door dash / Uber eats / etc!
Missed opportunity! 😅 I think I briefly touch on this in my “how much I spent in a month in NYC video” though.
