It is hard to quantify the idea of success. Every individual has their own idea of what being successful entails. Thankfully, in the world of football, the idea of success is a little bit easier to comprehend, but even that can vary depending on who you ask. However, for the vast majority, its safe to assume that they would point to achievement being linked with silverware; the more you have, the more successful you are and that is going to be the basis of this video. Just before we begin, there are a few notes for this list. If a country/state/territory is only partially located in the continent of Europe, it will be included. If a country/state/territory which is located outside of Europe but whose confederation is UEFA, such as Israel, they will be included. Each individual country in the United Kingdom will be a separate entry, mainly because I’m from one of those countries and would like to have it included. If a country/state/territory does not have a sanctioned league, I will include a fact about the area in lieu of a proper entry. Without further adieu, this is every European country’s most successful football team. - Sport
As has been pointed out to me, I have missed one or two nations/territories from the list. My apologies to Gibraltar (Lincoln Red Imps), The Isle of Man (St George's) and Greenland (B-67 Nuuk).
The most surprising part of the list was that multiple microstates have their own league system. Goes to show how popular football is, especially in Europe.
That's one of the reasons I wanted to do a list like this. Never thought I'd enjoy researching the history of Vatican City football.
Good video and good collection of club pics.
25:37 Linsfield and shamrock rovers also have more trophies than rangers
Qarabagh fk is the most successful club in Azerbaijan not neftchi. But thanks for the video
Just seen who you picked for England. Can’t wait to see Scotland
CSKA is the most successful in Bulgaria not only because of the trophies won but also because of the achievements in Europe - 3 European semi-finals(2 for ECC and 1 for CWC). Levski have won more Bulgarian Cups because this trophy was never important for CSKA and the team just didn’t put any effort in winning it.
Marseille has 9 leagues, not 10. It has also been proven they paid to win their UCL and thats also the reason they were relegated to Ligue 2 for 3 years. No money no party
There no proof that Marseille has paid the UCL. If Marseille paid Why did Bernard Tapie paid Valenciennes players to throw the match why Marseille has been struggling against Rangers? Also Why Marseille win 3 ou 4-0 in the Final against the Greatest AC Milan? The corner scored by Boli shouldn't be allowed yea but in 1993 VAR didnt existe at all why UEFA didn't remove Marseille's trophy? why Marseille didn't won in 1991 if they are cheaters? And no Marseille got relegated in 1994 and then finish 1st in Ligue 2 in 1995 but due to economy difficulties and then come back in 1996
On this 1993 drama only VA-OM is true After 29 years Marseille still the only France Ucl winner
@@aguineanuser You answered your own question. OM Paid Valenciennes to lose on purpose and this is why they won UCL, because unlike OM, AC Milan players played the weekend and were exhausted. They have not PAID ucl, but they have paid Ligue 1 in order to win UCL more easily. The peak of non-fairplay
Marseille is not the biggest club in France, but they have a CL in their honours...ok! But using the same argument, Malmo shouldn't be the one presented here, because Goteborg has 2 UEFA Cups...but great video, nonetheless!
You forgot Gibraltar mate
Ah balls! I knew I missed someone, just couldn't remember who. Thanks for the heads up.
Raging Tims reveal yourselves 😆
željezničar is not the most successful club in Bosnia it is FK Sarajevo, they have more trophies than željezničar, not sure how you came to this conclusion
So, from the research I was able to carry out, FK Sarajevo have amasses 16 major honours, those being 5 Bosnian Premier Leagues, 2 Yugoslav First leagues, 1 Yugoslav Second league, 5 Bosnian Cups and 1 Bosnian Supercup. Whereas Zeljeznicar has 6 Premier Leagues, 1 Yugoslav First League, 3 Yugoslav Second Leagues, 1 Bosnian Republic league, 6 Bosnian Cups, 1 Yugoslav Cups and 3 Bosnian Supercups, making a total of 20 honours. If there's any I have missed and I'm wrong I apologise but from what I was able to find, then it was the only conclusion I could come to.
ANDERLECHT????????!!!!!
Anderlecht?
why not Club Brugge they have allot more titles and are title holder
While Club Brugge have had a lot of success, Anderlecht have fifty-nine domestic league and cup wins as opposed to Brugge's forty-six. Anderlecht have also won five European honours whereas Club Brugge's best result in Europe was a defeat in the 1977-78 European Cup final.
