I miss the traditional songs that were sung long before the 70's. The Old Rugged Cross Have Thine Own Way Softly & Tenderly (Jesus is calling...) What A Friend We Have in Jesus Blessed Assurance (Jesus is mine...) Lord, I'm Coming Home Just As I Am Count Your Blessings (and name them one by one...), and so many more! Most, if not all mentioned were written by Fanny Crosby, who was born in 1820, and as a baby became blind. She learned to memorize the Bible as it was read to her. The song lyrics she wrote are a testament to the God's word, as it was thru her memorizing scripture that inspired her writing. She wrote some 8,000 songs & never felt her blindness handicapped her. How I miss singing these traditional songs!
So do i..I do find alot of them on CZcams.. Hosanna music skin integrity and if you end the way it really brings back the memories I got saved in 1978..really good worship music. And there was Maranatha singers..

We visited Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa when we were first saved in 1980 when we were living on Vancouver Island. We drove down especially to go to a Sunday service in CCCM and hear dear Pastor Chuck teach, we learned so much from him in the early days ( we had all his cassette tapes :) ) Now we continue to learn God's Word from you. This is a beautiful testimony of God's purposes in Chino Hills. I went to Calvary Chapel Bible School in 1984-85, and this story of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills is a throwback to the simplicity in Christ, the reliance on the Holy Spirit, and the encouragement of Chuck Smith. Jack and Lisa, thank you for carrying on the great legacy of walking in the Spirit and trusting in the great Shepherd of our souls (Prov 3:5-6). Praise the Lord!

This family and church are so filled with the truth of God, that the video made me actually cry. It's like a gospel singer's voice, some are annotated and some not. They flow with love and encouragement for other's. And to go on and have church when 100's are not speaks of their faith in our heavenly father. This family and church are so filled with the truth of God, that the video made me actually cry. It's like a gospel singer's voice, some are annotated and some not. They flow with love and encouragement for other's. And to go on and have church when 100's are not speaks of their faith in our heavenly father.
