it facinates me how much of a process is involved for vintage equipment. i have almost every major audio format except 8 track and reel to reel.i didnt grow up with is technology as im only in my mid 20s but i love using it
Nice! You da' man! I just got a Pioneer RT-707 and to be honest, I haven't messed with an R2R in quite some time. I have a Pioneer Spec 1system that I was building for some time and all it as lacking was the R2R and I finally fixed that. This was a nice refresher and has made me comfortable in getting back in. I used to do the same this where I used the original tape as the take-up reel but I totally forgot about that, I am super glad that I watched this video. In fact, watching this video has put me right back in the reel game. For those who feel discouraged or decide to stick with their turntables because this seems too difficult or whatever reason, this is an audiophile art form that is not to be missed if you're a true lover of vintage audio equipment! Thanks again, my friend, really good stuff!
What tape should I use for it here’s what I have mpc 1000 tascam 2488 I want to just record vocals on it. How should I hookup to the tascam? This was given to me and I like it and want to incorporate it into my setup
Can you please explain to me how to put blank tape on a different reel? I was going to buy a pioneer RT 909 that comes with 2 empty reels. If I buy a blank reel how do I put the blank tape on the empty reel? I’m new to these things and honestly have no idea what to do.

How much to buy
"...on a reel to reel cassette deck."
I'll stick with my Pioneer RT-909--- easy to thread :)
wouldve been much more useful if you could see a single thing you were doing
Until next time..."tails out."
it's okay I'll stick to my turntable.
