    I thought LBC had pooped the expansion ideas for a 2nd terminal. Alos put some bloody travelators in it. The walk around T1 is horrendous

    Is it me or is this a really short sighted and short-termist idea?
    Years ago there was a proposal put forward to expand the Airport by 400%, including 2 additional runways and 3 more terminals. This would have been on the farmland to the southeast of the current airport. It would have been the replacement for Heathrow and with intelligently planned full rail connections to the Midland ML and the East Coast ML would have solved the standard transport issue that Heathrow has.
    Heathrow could have then been flogged for housing etc.
    Think big guys, otherwise Britain is going to be seriously left behind.

    Great idea. Love this airport. Easy to get to and flows well too. Hope these plans don't ruin that. But expansion is always good for the local area. Good luck guys.

    I don't get the exposed car parks! At least either put it under and fill it above with solar panels or plants, the cars are also protected from the environment.

    this is a great idea. they could at least extend the runway to enable bigger aircraft to land

      It’s not needed as Luton will not be for long haul flights

    Too much debt will stop this happening, such a shame Luton council don't look after the residents of Luton the way they paper to this monstrosity.

    You’re planning on increasing the number of planes taking off by 100% and you think an extra 10% green space will balance it out 😂

    Will this now include a new multi storey car park ?

  • @helixvonsmelix

    Why would you not build the new terminal first, then rebuild/refurbish the old terminal?

    Wonder if it will go through the same hurdles leeds Bradford Airport is currently going through? That Airport is only wanting to replace its existing terminal with a new one that meets environmental standards. Already agreed increase to 7 million but its going through an uphill struggle.

    Projeto de expansão dos terminais, e novas placas de estacionamento, aerogare, etc. A pista continua a mesma , tão pequena, para um futuro aeroporto maior??? Estranho ??? Há qualquer coisa aí que está mal. 🤔🧐🙄✈️🛫🛬😮‍💨🤐😖

    Not just the Luton DART but perhaps expand the runway if that is possible.

    I do not see community benefit. Other comunities do not have airports and they manage to use mobey better than luton council. We pay just as much council and pther taxes as any other small city without an airport and we are the worst town in ul to live in. We did not see the benefit and never will. Kill this idea!!!!

    • @fndjfgsdk
      @fndjfgsdk Před rokem +2

      The community benefit is that there are more flights from Luton airport, which means it's so much easier to leave Luton for good!

    Where is all this money coming from, to progress from debt to get into debt is a failure. This film heaps benefits for the local area, why is council tax going up. Debt is not a benefit to luton..... stop spending money you don't have

    I really hope they do not do this. The area is already polluted enough and noisy. They are literally taking a field the community use (which is an old covered land fill, what will they do with all the rubbish?) and turning it into a car park.. Good luck you will have a fight on your hands. This was the only place I and many others could take our dogs for a walk and you are taking that away. Do we really need expanding? Do we really have that many people wanting to come to this country? What are you going to do for the community that you are slowly killing with air pollution?

    • @greek9244
      @greek9244 Před rokem +3

      It’ll be good as it encourages more to use the train instead of parking at the airport or taking a taxi. Therefore it’s better for the environment in the long run . It’ll save more C02 emissions than it will emit during construction
