Thanks so much for this. I am a Tibetan Buddhist practitioner and am familiar with the rainbow body phenomenon. I also have Father Tiso’s excellent book that you profile. One comment re the frequency of this phenomenon. It is a good deal less ‘rare’ than the lama Fr Tiso quotes. To give just 3 examples: (1) Chogyam Trungpa in his 1966 autobiography ‘Born in Tibet’ mentions that during his upbringing in the monastery in the 1950’s (as the reincarnate abbot) he visited a village where an old man had died, with rainbows around his tent, a shrinking body and only hair & nails left after a week. Trungpa said ‘I had heard tales of this, but it was the first time I had actually seen evidence of it’. (2) Sera Khandro (1892-1940), a female practitioner who also lived in eastern Tibet. Her biography states that in 1938 she visited a monastery and asked to see ‘the relics of hair and nails left by an important Bon teacher …. who had taken the rainbow body’. When she died in 1940, at the time of her cremation ‘her body had dissolved into light and all that remained was about the size of an 7-year-old child’. (Also, when giving teachings at night a year or so before people observed that her body left no shadow in the light of the butter lamps). See her biography ‘Love and Liberation’ by Sarah Jacoby. (3). The nuns of Gebchak Nunnery, the largest nunnery in Eastern Tibet. The nuns and those connected to it state that a number of the nuns obtained the rainbow body to varying degrees. One old male lama said that the body of an old, highly-realised nun he knew had shrunk to the size of his forearm when she was cremated. See ‘Calling the Lama From Afar’ by Jampa Kalden.

The rainbow body holders passed away but the transfigured body lived on. Rainbow body is a higher auric field. Transfiguration is a transparent luminous body. There may be no transfiguration in rainbow body because transfiguration is the next stage. It can be also visible by cameras or naked eyes if observed keenly. The higher they go, they turn from darkness to luminosity. The feeling of presence of god aka Light will be so huge like a pagoda or vast as universe if it's an enlightened state avatar. But all of these bodies are ego layers. Even the luminous body because it's the emptiness that formed luminosity even. These reflect the inner states of the true yogi . If some one talks they should demonstrate it too if they are honest and genuine. The states can go up or down so the size of aura and luminous body . When we engage in mundane activities the states may decrease as its a three d dimension. Actually they could have lived with that body but gave up the desire to live even. They chose to be without body as they realised the infinite loop of rebirths and no solutions. If a man lives with such body, it's then the pioneer of evolution of consciousness.

I see the resurection as someething different from the rainbow body becaue Jesus showed himself, in physical form to where Thomas even put his finger through the hole of Jesus' hand. If there are accounts of other monks who've shown themselves to ths 3d realm, that would be something to deeply ponder. I see the rainbow body as more what the bible would call "transfiguraion". Enoch and Elijah may have achieved or been helped to transition from this physcial 3d body to the next with this Rainbow Body phenomena. Would love to do some more study to explore it more. Your reason for doubting that Jesus did not attain the rainbow body is invalid. Jesus had a reason for proving to his disciples that he was alive by using the paranormal powers of his bodiless state to create a temporary, physical body that his disciples could see. The various old lamas reported to achieved the goal of Earthly evolution by entering into the rainbow body did not need to prove themselves to, or communicate with, those who had seen them die. Unlike the followers of Jesus , who had not one clue what was really going on at the spiritual level, the witnesses to these lamas were thoroughly familiar with what had happened because this phenomenon is part of a long tradition going back to the Bon religion. So the fact that these lamas never appeared again in any physical body is totally irrelevant. It certainly does NOT prove that the resurrection of Jesus was something other than due to his attaining the rainbow body. The body that Jesus displayed to his followers was NOT a reanimated corpse. His earthly body had vanished - hence the empty tomb - and he then materialised himself in a temporary facsimile of himself so that his followers would recognise who he was. That is why Jesus warned Timothy (?) not to touch him, for his fabricated body (what is known in yoga as the "mayavi rupa" - a represention created by spiritual masters using the power of kriyashakti to communicate after death with their disciples) was unstable. He could dissolve this body at will, and then re-create it anytime and anywhere, for he had complete mastery over the forces of nature.

Well I am afraid he is a false prophet. Don't know if it is intentional or if he is misled. Maybe he self-hypnosis stuff has allowed evil forces to mislead him. I hope he repents. I've pointed out his historical errors regarding the early Church but he has refused to respond to that. I don't see how this is funny though. Especially since he claims to be Catholic. Misleading people isn't good.

Why would Catholics be unhappy. It actually affirms about Mary been brought to heaven in full body.
