I think that the main goal of BF5 was to make the soldier as humanly as possible, so it would have a bigger impact, and you can actually feel it. The soldier yelling when he is bayonet charging or when he is freaking out when he is near a grenade gives a little touch of the soldier's situation. The fear yet the brutality they have really shows us a little about how the soldiers felt.

The panicking when a grenade is thrown at you actually makes alot of sense. The soldier in bf5 (WW2) panics, meanwhile the soldier in mw2 (MODERN DAY) doesn't. Yes US 48 stars represents 48 states but not Alaska because US owned this state in 1867
I know this is semantics, but some of these things aren't "attention to detail" they're just either gameplay elements that are there for gameplay sake, or flat out unfair comparisons.
I also kind of want to explain why some details might be "missing".
1. The grenade not rolling
If you throw a grenade you kinda want it to land where you want it, and not roll around.
Now I get that this diminishes the "rEaLiSm" but at the same time, good gameplay.
2. Glass cleaning streaks
In the second world war, glass cleaning still wasn't as big of a thing as it is nowadays, so a lot of restaurants and other places (like you showed) did it all by themselves by hand, which means you'd get streaks in the glass cause of the "ineffective" means that a lot of these shops used.
Nowadays, in a modern world (like where MW2 is set) you have much more effective glass cleaning methods that leave behind no streaks at all, which means there's not a detail missing, it's just that the detail doesn't exist in the first place IRL.
3. Grenades being shot mid air
A lot of the grenades being used in ww2 would likely not have been resistant to being shot, but the materials used in modern grenades make it so that they won't go off when hit with small arms fire.
That's not to say it certainly can never happen, but it's definitely pretty unlikely.
4. Coughing in the tank
Now this one you can (and someone definitely will) split hairs over.
WW2 tanks were not all that well protected/insualted from all the different components.
This means that if say, you have an engine fire, or the ammo is cooking off, you'd have smoke and other things filling the crew compartment with nothing there to get it out.
In modern tanks you'd have not only a lot of seperation between the different compartments (ammo, blowout panels, engine compartment etc.) you'd also have air filtration systems and the like.
The tank in modern warfare I'm pretty sure is a merkava, and definitely would not only have a hermetically sealed crew compartment, but also a big ole air filtration system inside, since israel has to worry about chemical attacks from neighboring countries.
All that leads me to believe that not only A: Is the fire model in MW2 unrealistic anyways but B: The crewmen inside wouldn't be coughing.
5. Fire shimmering
We all know hot air shimmers, we've all seen it on the roads when it's hot in the summer.
This is probably just another gameplay decision, cause MW2 is a very arcadey shooter, they don't want a lot of things obscuring enemies, especially because of the super low TTK.
6. Physics
Yeah, we all know that CODs physics aren't the best around, but you trying to show a lamp swinging and using a lamp that has a fixture that wouldn't allow it to swing around was kind of funny.
The grenade panic is unnecessary in cod since they have had the symbol for like years
Yeah, I think it started with COD 2 which came out back in 2005.
battlefield 5 holds up very well despite being a game from almost 5 years ago
Battlefield 5 and battlefield 1 both still look better than all these fps we're getting today
i played wot when i was younger (about 8 years old i guess) because of my dad (im 12 now) and these ads make want to play again 3:46
10:01 this sound effect "in" not heard in MW2
If only ea and Activision could get along imagine the details just saying!
I gotta admit battlefield has always had the upper hand when it came to attention to detail but it’s always been COD to bring the better gun fighting experience
Its still impressive how Battlefield I and V are so detailed in compare with other games today
i think MW2 of characters clothes getting wet but doesn't dried overtime is actually make sense
if wet clothes is still being used its hard to get it dry in short amount of time because it doesn't have an air regulation coming in and out
however i still could be wrong so feel free to correct me
about the grenade panic one, in MW2's defense, operators are highly trained cold blooded killers. panic isn't on their DNA.
Meanwhile in BF5..
Good Work keep it up stay frosty
Thanks man
Honestly you should redo the 2042 video since it's definitely much better since the last video. :D
Sure👍
did the class update happen he should probably wait until then or the breakaway rework
@@capolean2902 Actually Your right it would be better to wait till next months update aka the class update.
@@hypno17 Ok i will wait for next update
BF5 : no Hawaii and Alaska yet
MW2 : they’re here
A lot of these boil down to them either being:
A - Trained Soldiers
or
B - There is more than one method of doing it.
or
C - THERE IS NO POINT OF IT EXISTING
These two games are very detailed :)
9:37 don’t waste your time trying to check that text box that pops up, it just says that soldiers will change their leg position based off of your the surface in BF2042
Huh?
@@dankengine5304 there was a little text box that appeared on the bottom of the screen for like half a second then, and I went through a lot of trouble to read it
@@Iamthesun314 - I read it just fine. Simply read faster.
@@dankengine5304 ok no use arguing with you. “Simply read faster” not everyone has the ability to read that much text in under a second. Good for you that you can, but not everyone can
@@Iamthesun314 - Skill issue
Makes sense comparing a WW2 Game from 2018 to a Modern Age Warfare Game from 2022
Like WW2 was yesterday and Modern Combat today
For the scale of BFV they added a lot of details and still as optimized than BF1
My theory on why the Panic noise isn't added to Call of Duty Modern Warfare, is because they are probably experienced enough to the point where they don't have to panic and they're calm when the grenade is thrown at them
I believe I've heard characters breathe heavy after sprinting in mw2
The battlefield flag has 8 stars per line, and 6 lines of stars on there. That goes over 48
10:18 bro thats fucking creepy tbh
The reason the flag in Battlefield 5 has 48 stars was because during World War II the US consisted of only 48 states.
They know, it is mentioned in the video
In hoi4 i made it 50 stars
