I live in Hawaii and a bunch of tourists have died in recent years using the full face snorkel. It doesn't release enough carbon dioxide from your exhales so you end up passing out or having a heart attack. I don't recommend them for long periods.
I was just about to comment this too, before I saw your comment. Quite a few of those people who died were experienced too - aka. a very dangerous snorkel mask.

for the mermaid tail it makes it easier to move from your hips instead of just bending your knees. as a swimmer using the core makes it a lot easier.

I like to think of it as moving your body like a wave. I’ve had mermaid tails since I was ten and I have gotten really good with that motion

As someone who ones several mermaid tails, the part where she was swimming in her tail hurt. No fish swims like that and theres a reason no fish swims like that, in order to swim in a tail without drowning or using a floaty you need to use a dolphin kick. Basically your body needs to be like a wave with your arms and head leading. You use your core more than your legs, watch videos of other mermaids and how they swim itll help alot.

Anyone who gets the mermaid tail, be very careful! You can easily drown if inexperienced, and you should be a good swimmer as well. Have someone else around that can rescue you and don't go in deep water at first

Mermaid tails need hip strength, as if you are doing a dolphin kick. Legs should be pretty much straight, knees together not bending!
Raina Mermaid, Mermaid Melissa and Hannah Fraser all have slightly bending knees while doing the dolphin kick.
She even explained in the video she isn’t experienced, so don’t be too quick to judge.
I think it's because the mermaid tail is made of fabric not silicon . I think she need to try the silicon one , I've watched it from cloe 💛

The “mermaid swim” is called a dolphin kick! Super popular in swimming
It's certainly more advanced though. It's the last step you learn before the dreaded butterfly stroke 😂

2:10 those are for competitive swimmers and people who do it as a sport to get better at certain strokes such as freestyle and I belive for the swimmer to learn how to put their hands while in water to get them comfortable that certain way for in swim meets they stay that way for the swimmer can go at a faster beat through the water.
When I was 13 I saved over $100 to buy a FinFun mermaid tail but that tail actually looks better...

I have one of those mermaid tails and I absolutely love it! It’s hard to master but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy as pie! The only problem is that after a while the tips of the fin will wear down and create holes, but you can always sow them with a simple stitch! Make sure you start out with something to hold on to, I almost drowned the first time. 😂

I have a fin fun tail, you have to use the fin first with the tail to get used to it.

Female bodies are genetically made to get fat after pregnancies because the mother needs to feed the baby and didn’t always have a fridge or supermarket to buy food from, so the fat savings are happening much sooner than before pregnancy. Your body saves the energy for worse times even when you stay on the same food schedule. So please, educate yourself before posting busllshit

The full face snorkel masks are super cool! I had actually ordered those from ebay though last year! My Husband & I had packed them with us to Puertorico and it was amazing experience to snorkel & see everything 💕

As a mermaid I would never suggest buying fin on Wish it is very dangerous. Also its suggested to have someone who has done this before for first time so they can give you tips and teach proper technique.
For starter tails I would suggest getting Finish monofin from Target or best is FinFun. They're safer and better for begginers.

As a mermaid (with a custom fabric tail) who's friends with a professional mermaid (yes she has a $3000 silicon mermaid tail), I can only advise to practice the "dolphin swim" and try your hardest to not bend your legs at all whenever using any sort of mermaid tail. Instead, use your core/waist to swim. Mermaid tails and monofins can be extremely dangerous for young children who do not know what they're doing, but they're still really fun to use once you get the hang of it!

LOVED THIS...mermaid tail for the win!!! PS I have the versatile LIGHTS; bought them approx 4 YEARS ago and still use them regularly...just not in a pool (we don’t have one). But have used them for...youth events-great for glow theme, romantic evenings, falling asleep, taking baths, and even at my evening wedding last year...I LOVE them!!! So since you can’t just leave them in the pool, they are a FUN purchase and I hope you’ll find some of the many other ways to use them. ❤️ Also, the remotes work very well and from a distance for all my non-pool uses.

I used the mermaid tail and it may just be me but it worked really well when I used my lower back/hips to swim

The silicone hand flippers work great. I got some off Wish and mine don't fit on the finger tips, but go all the way down to the base of the finger.

I’d definitely recommend learning how to swim in the fun without the covering first, so that if you panicked you could kick off the fin and swim normally
I’ve always wanted a mermaid tail and now that I’m not an inexperienced swimmer, I think I could possibly start using tails 😂
The pool light remote uses infrared light just like your TV remote, and while can they reach about 10ft/30m in a line of sign in air, water will impede its operation. They should have used ultrasonic or radio waves to penetrate the water.
As a workaround, you could tie a thin fishing line to the lights, then yank them out when ready to turn off. It's pretty inconvenient having to fish 'em out every time you want to turn them off, though they look cool. :)
For "mermaid" swimming you have to use your entire body and basically do the worm in water. More back and hips than knees and feet so it's a hella workout. I've always wanted to use a tail bc it's such a fun way to swim

Inuyasha619 Swimtails is good too. I think people who are really interested in getting a mermaid tail need to look at legit companies for them and not Wish. Wish may be okay for the tails themselves, but the monofin it may come with probably won’t be the best or safest. And to swim safely in a mermaid tail, one needs a safe monofin and needs to know how to swim with one (the dolphin kick) before binding their legs together (they obviously also need to know how to swim normally too). I hear too many stories of people thinking it’s great and then it becomes dangerous because they don’t know what they’re doing... then they bash how unsafe mermaid tails are.... swimming in a mermaid tail can be quite difficult and children should never be placed in them without the proper steps being taken first. The dolphin kick came easily to me so swimming in a mermaid tail wasn’t too difficult... however I still keep to pools rather than swimming in the Gulf because I don’t trust my swimming abilities that much 🤷🏻♀️. 🧜🏻♀️
@@CelticStar87 I know exactly what you mean. My community pool won't let me use my mermaid tail there because they are "unsafe". They are perfectly safe as long as you use them properly!!!! Just like anything else...
Hannah Cunningham I’ve heard that a lot from people in the mermaid community. Their local public pools have banned mermaid tails because they’ve deemed them unsafe. It’s all about education and using them properly... just like every other water device out there... even life jackets can be unsafe if used improperly.

We love the snorkel mask thing. If you prepare yourself to go under it's not as bad when it stops letting you breath lol. But if you hand clean out your pool it's awesome because you can just float around and get your pool nice and clean lol
