This is VERY TRUE. I am speaking from experience from these religious studies classrooms.
There are castes among Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians too. I remember a matrimonial ad in a Goan newspaper for a "Konkanastha Brahmin Christian" woman.
How can a Brahmin be a Brahmin even after being converted to Christianity? it's contradictory. this Christianity is like a snake which eats it's prey but cannot digest it properly and it comes out on it's skin.

"Social issues" have always existed, but were NOT advanced as "academic studies." Animosity of one human group against another always occurs. Instead of "choosing sides," adult persons should be recognizing the long histories of "human conflict and deadly wars." Take animosity as the beginning and move towards "adults" identifying conflict and attempting to rationalize means of attenuating the animosities by educating EVERYONE to acknowledge "human existence" as a great marvel and an opportunity to gain "advanced understanding" while "being in human form." I just saw a video about Rudolph Steiner who said humanity was "losing its soul and spirit" in a race to materialism ERASING any idea of human soul and spirit. Yes, Hinduism would be "under attack," but ALL human SPIRITUAL values are under attack. Thanks, Rajiv, for a "spiritual discussion" that can help soul and spirit survive the onslaught of evil.
