I do not normally play SHMUP games but this was pretty damn fun.
The music is amazing, the different switch up's of the space ship was great as it offered different ways to play each stage but clearly one ship type would be preferred over the others due to the shot pattern.
This was all done in real time with just good ole' reflexes but didn't feel nearly as hard as some other similar games I have seen. -

The graphics are amazing for an NES game. Really pushed the console to its limits.
I realize I am kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good place to stream new tv shows online?
@Case Grey Flixportal =)
@Gerald Wesley thanks, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D Appreciate it !!
@Case Grey Glad I could help :)
Can it run Crisis Force?
When I was around 7, some friend brought this cartridge to our house , we had it for a while and then he took it back and I never saw it again. This was mind blowing for my 7 year old self, I've never seen anything like it. So many flashy cool effects. I'm now in my early 30s and I finally found this game. The thing that I could remember the most and identify the game by is those large square red and blue bullets
A truly amazing title from Konami. It really shows what they could do for nes.
Probably one of the best shmups on the nes! Loved this game. Now i miss my nes...
This game is beautiful!
The dev team really give it all on this one. Everything is amazing all the way to the final boss fight
Love retro Nes 8 bit games.
This game really push the NES limits, looks like SNES or PC Engine game.
Top game graphics for NES, if not the best
Amazingly this even manages to make most SNES shmups look bad!
Maybe because there hardly were any SNES shmups, but still impressive!
This was my late night drug back in the 90's!
First time I saw this as a kid, I thought it was a Sega Genesis game.
Never managed to find it for either the NES or for the Genesis, in my younger years, and it wasn't until much later in life that I'd finally know the name of this game.
So good quality for Nes, I am surprised when I played this when I was young.
just fired this up on my Famicom Everdrive for the first time today...f'n insane how the US got screwed on shumups in the NES days. This and Recca Summer Carnival are the pinnacle for the time
The US got the short end on shmups in the next generation too. Lots of Genesis shmups didn't make it here, and the TurboGrafx was all about shmups but you know how few games on there in general got over here...
Recca is way too tough for me. I love hard games, but that one is really frustrating
If only those two games re-releases for the home consoles and PC...
Summer Carnival Recca got published to 3DS at least
The way you start a new stage how you ship comes on screen makes me think of aleste 2 on msx
I'm just here for that sweet Konami music! Stage 2 is so good, they played it TWICE!
4:10 & 18:45 🎶
Amazing graphics for the NES. Of course, this came out well after the SNES was released, but those of us who didn't have one could look forward to the final gen titles of the NES pushing the hardware to its limits.
actually just a few months after the sfc launch
This game was truly great. It is sad that more people don't know about its existence.

I demand a remake!!!
эх, ностальгия...
JESUS!!! WHY HAVEN'T I EVER HEARD OF THIS GAME???
Fantastic game, Konami use a custom VCR4 chip in the csrt for this, to give the Nes more juice. Gradius 2 uses it as well.
I thinking about getting myself the old Nintendo system back again. LOL!!👍😆👍
Quick question. Did they ever bring this game to America? Because this game is amazing man.
No, it stayed in Japan sadly.
Only in SE Asian countries.
I remember that day in 199X when those thingys came from the sky, it was crazy!
This and Recca are proof that Nintendoes what Genesis does.
Recca is a game for shmup pros.
I concur, but we're talking about NES/FC here.
well, if you compare to the best on Genesis... of course, Crisis Force looks like an early genesis game... but compared to Thunderforce 4 or MUSHA... well...
I’ve never heard of this game 😨
True to Konami, music indeed does kick ass.
Playback speed at 0.75x....famicom childhood memory😌
Easily the best graphics on the NES! Either this or Batman (1989)!
i disagree
I used to have an arcade board called lightning fighters from konami and this game looks and sounds alot like an adaptation of that arcade game
Great gameplay of what was Konami's last hurrah for the NES, Crisis Force which sadly never saw release outside Japan.
Yeah Konami released a ton of great Famicom games after this one, what are you talking about?
Dude, this was released in 1991, Konami was still pumping out NES and Famicom games after this.
back then.......i played this more than 20x a day :D
too good for NES
Color me impressed!
Oh yeah, for NES this is really amazing graphics.
@25:50 and other spots in that level we see the first secret Nvidia gtx graphics card prediction with many killer cards.
Music and sound effects are bitching! The game's on my bucket list now.
Sounded like gurus for a second there
dat ost is dat best!!
Yes save states.
Awesome game!!!!
Does the Konami 30 lives code work?
True ending only hard mode
Taist of da childhood !!!!
This looks like an SNES game.
It's honestly pretty insulting when a game has its huge jump in difficulty and/or the first appearance of its true villains on a stage that reuses music from an earlier stage.
Does the Konami code work here??

Too bad a physical copy is so expensive.
Greedy resellers trying to take advantage of collectors who have money to burn is the reason why. If people that collect spent money with sense, games wouldn't be so high. I collect myself, but I am careful of how much I spend on games. I do not want to contribute to games getting too expensive for the normal person to enjoy owning a copy of. There was an old saying in the collecting community, you couldn't make a living off of buying and selling old games, apparently people took offense and found a way to do so.

Gundams?
What emulator can run this game? I've tried FCEUX and Nestopia UE and they both crash.
I use nes.emu.
+Ryan Flynn Thanks!
My NES (that's the name of the emulator) works for me, almost perfectly.
I'll have to try it! Normally I use Higan for everything, but for some reason it can't run Crisis Force right.
게임엔진과 크라이시스포스 하나면 오락실도 부럽지 않았다
