    FAQ:
    1. Should I add a preservative to my Body Butter?
✨Answer: You can, but it is not necessary. (especially for personal use)
Reason: Avoid putting wet hands into the jar. Use a wooden spoon. Once water is introduced to the product, it is contaminated and will grow bacteria, mold, etc. If you can avoid water getting into the product, then you are safe and do not need a preservative. This body butter will last as long as the shelf life of your ingredients. When it comes to oils and butters, the shelf life is usually 12 months or more.

Hi all! Today’s video has taken years of research and practice and I am still trying to perfect ways to naturally color body butter without mica, dyes, or having to introduce water or a preservative.
I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas. 💜😊
NOTE: The Moringa infused oil and Yellow oil blend can stain the skin, but it absorbs well. Those with fairer skin will see the stain until it absorbs. This is another area of natural, oil-soluble colorants for body butters that I am trying to work out. 😊💜

Great color demonstration! For purple you could infuse butterfly pea tea powder in fraction coconut oil and then add a couple drops of lemon oil for it to turn purple

Interesting. I've always used turmeric for my yellow. Paprika for brown. Beet root powder for pink. Hibiscus tea leaves infused in whatever oil I'm using for red. Blue Chamomile for my blues. Glad to know of other options.

Thank you for sharing. I tried infusing hibiscus in oil, but it did not turn red. I usually get red when I infuse it in water or glycerin. I will try again. Thank you for the suggestions. 😊💜

I used hibiscus powder to create oil infusion, then filtered it. It looks red but after sometime the powder settles in the bottom and oil turns less red, have to shake it again. Inspite of filtering, some powder/ pigment settles in the bottom. What can i do?

@@YayaDIYCreations Yaaaay! I am a beginner at making body & hair products and I use the hibiscus flower with vegetable glycerin to extract the pink colour and it comes out really nice and with a bright pink colour when I make it but after a few days, the colour changes, so I don’t know if it’s one of the ingredients that alters the colour or it’s just not strong enough to last. I am looking for natural alternative colorants
