I think here is some mistake or maybe I am wrong,, I do not think there is any need for a secondary clarifier with MBBR. So the flow scheme seems wrong!
Hello dear, All MBBR schemes are followed by a clarifier, that is designed differently from the activated sludge process. Water definitely needs to be clarified through sedimentation after the MBBR stages.

Stabilization ponds are not typically used with MBBR
