Three high school students, Heather, Kylie, and Jordan, under pressure from their parents to get into good colleges, convince a shy but very smart girl, Meredith, to take the College Entrance Test for them. After Meredith gets a low score on one of the tests, she winds up dead in a mysterious accident, and now all three kids are suspects in her murder.
Heather soon finds that she is being framed for Meredith’s murder by the other two and must team up with her mother, Brenda, to prove

One of the detectives looked like Denzil Washington. Good movie. Parental pressure gets kids into a mess to get out of a mess.
A lot of kids face the same pressure but do not cheat. Its not the parents, its their own choice. Thats how we end up with a whole united nations full of useless pos.

We as parents want the best for our children BUT putting this kind of pressure and no alternative is going to do more damage than a positive outcome. And the worst NEVER compared your daughter or son with their sisters or brothers.

As this is a true story, it makes it even more important that the pressure teenagers are under to perform and to achieve high grades has to be reckoned with and parents have to understand the immense pressures they are putting their children under. Not just have student counselling available, which the majority may not seek . There should be mandatory classes with a councillor in schools nationwide wide.

This was a different type of movie and really good. The young actors did a wonderful job.
Great movie. The casting was excellent. So sad that it is based on a true story but it hits harder knowing it is a true event. All students and parents should watch this together as a warning. What a waste of a beautiful life.

@@susivarga7303 Yes they can. To raise a child is to teach right from wrong. The more you do that, even by use of a tool like a movie can educate along with the conversation that happens. Childrens brains in the area of consequences mature at a later age. Therefore mature parents can help their children immensely by putting in the time. The movie can be a resource.

That was a great movie. Tense and very suspenseful, spygate meets highschool. It was really touching that the girl had a good heart in the end. Laura Wiggins is so beautiful. Great acting by the whole cast too!

I know how Meredith feels and went through no one was really my friend in highschool especially when you were good at the homework or some type of assignment I would be asked for the homework and then the person that hated me so much would get the homework from the person that asked me for it and the the cycle just repeats … it’s a shame how an intelligent person can be treated like

You teach a child how to process their feelings. They must strive to achieve excellence to be recognized for it. They need good parents to teach them how to handle situations.

What kind of ending is this? Why aren't all these kids expelled from the school for cheating and sent to prison together with Kiele's mother?
They didn’t say what happened to any of them, including Kylie and her mother. I thought the movie, and the ending, were excellent.
Quite a pity that Meredith lost her life just coz she was trying to help her dad pay for his therapy, such a selfless being, these three deserve to be punished n kale jail serves her right, she pushed her off tgw stires

If there wasn't so much pressure on students to do well on a broken system. Then events like this would never happen.
This was actually a decent movie. The only thing I really can't stand, though, is how unrealistic it is to have movies without police interrogations. Other than that, it was mostly realistic. I also appreciate that it wasn't the same old predictable storyline that I've seen too many times to count.

Some kids even really little ones, enjoy the taste of power and can lead to them bullying and ruining other children's lives.
It's a horrible fact of life, yet we're always told to try to understand the bully blah blah blah.
Bullies need to be isolated from each other and kept away from other kids during break times.
Their parents need to face penalties too.

The boy would definitely lose his college entrance for cheating and lose his football future. Kylie would stay in jail for some time for manslaughter not to mention an additional sentence for stabbing her boyfriend. Heather would lose her exam results for cheating. She would probably have to retake the year. Not to mention her reputation is ruined. That is honestly enough.

If Heather had killed Meredith she wouldn't have called 911 and stuck around she would have gotten heck outta there.
True, but also some people to look really innocent will hang around specially if they are physco.
Or have a powerful strong personality would more likely stick around.
Also Meredith had already rang 911 on her mobile before Heather got there & so the police was sent out there because of this.
Anyway there is a lot of reason's why some people would ring 911 or not run off.
Plus the police did such a treibble job and didn't look closer at the situation just took people's word without strong evidence.
Heather's finger prints was not all over Meredith or her clothes or her bag, the police didn't bother to check all this.
Heather's mom looks like Michael Jackson, Kerlie's mum is an evil mother, she's the cause of the whole drama. She pushed her daughter way too far.

Angry emotions and tremendous power plays are finally feasible. Those with flaming hearts and raging egos are prodding them to engage in conflict. We'll ideally be able to see the rich people’s melodrama and injustice for what it is, at the very least, as subtler situations, such as playing the victim every time, could be more alluring than open confrontation and also constitute threats for talents, gifted and good-natured students. We may want to continue our investigation of the Education system when it enters probing.. 🧐😏🙄
Moral: do not pressure your kids to get good grades. Any grade can do in this world of today, any college can do, it doesnt have to be the best college. You pressure them and they accidentally kill people for good grades. And you will never know, youll be left wondering why your kid is depressed for a lifetime all because they wanted to make you(the parent) happy.
Any college won't do. These days if it ain't from a top school the degree is basically worthless unless it's in a highly specialized field with high demand and low supply.

Students go through a lot of pressure, from parents, from teachers, most of them have jobs at minimum wage working too hard, and some have little siblings to take care of as well, nevermind the high-school social life. It's not just one test, it's many for each subject. My mom got frustrated the other day because she didn't want to read the question for her WHMIS course and wanted me to do all the work. Lol, I think adults talk way too much about how hard it is to be an adult, we get it. But a lot of adults don't understand what it's like to be a kid. That's why as an adult, I always get them excited for the future and all the opportunities they'll have, you don't need to scare them so they don't want to grow up...

The SAT is NOT the most important test of your life. That would probably be something like a pregnancy test lol
Anyway, my grandfather helped rewrite the SAT & other standardized tests, & I do not believe that they are a proper judge of intellect. A prime example of that is ME! I am a very good student, but I do not test well due to anxiety & such. I did score well on the SAT, but I took it three times & scored worst the final time lol
If Kylie hadn't been picking at that girl, she would still be alive.
