Great potential, will have to see what your pilot data reveals but looks fundamentally sound. Have you any plans to go deeper or use different drilling tech like Quaise et al Gyroton bore or other? 2.5km isn't really deep enough imo to really unlock Geothermal for electrical power (direct heat would work). Very low grade heat at that depth. 5km is better, 10 km would be a game changer for power production (300C temp or greater)
They just finished a 18000ft (>5km) wellbore through granite in NM, near the Lightning Dock geothermal plant. What it cost to drill is unknown yet. I suspect it has a layout similar to what you see in the video. Otherwise, I don't know what it would prove.
Depths below 10 km are also favoured by "Plasmabit" (Slovenia) - but extremely slow and expensive with conventional drilling technology - for this purpose Quaise Energy is currently developing the new contactless drilling technology with 30-40 metres/h instead of
