Yeah I think RT actually assumed you couldn't fast-travel out of there. (So did I, for some reason I never tried it.) Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think even Ant used Stasis and Ancient Arrows on the Blademasters.
Now, in a permadeath run with no fast travel, _that_ would make it scary...

when I played botw, my first ever Zelda game, I skipped impa and accidentally when to the Zora, and since I didn't really know the mechanics well, I got stuck on getting inside ruta, and instead of using cryonis, I shot every single ice cube and burned through my whole arrow supply and I just realized I could use cryonis to break ice blocks :]

@@thomasknickrehm912 I don't call it a stealth mission if the guys looking have a sight range of directly below them, can't hear, and don't change their patterns at all. Also, you don't get one-shot-killed if you get spotted. I'd still find it annoying, but they did build in cool ways to kill all the sentries, like bombing them and thwacking them with boxes, so it feels like a puzzle. I think it's much more fun than the hideout.

I find it hilarious that I basically played permadeath on my casual playthrough - only 2 deaths in 280 hours of play - because I never realized dying wasn't a big deal. In TotK, i'm only 30 hours with at least 20 deaths.
This so one of the few challenge videos where people can’t say “now do it in master mode” in the comments

I never watched anything on the original permadeath run, and I was surprised to hear that it took you so long, since you've played this game so much and you're so good at it. I was like, "Surely he'll get it first try, easy!"
You gotta admit, though, if you weren't allowed to fast-travel out of the hideout, you'd have been screwed.

I was really impressed by this challenge because he did it in master mode. This was worth watching live. If you use twitch and never watched him live, you should definitely check him out.

If a monster shoots an arrow at a snowball, it will stick in like a wooden shield.
Also true about things like apples. If you're doing one of those three-tree Koroks and you shoot one of the apples, you should be careful to try to collect the arrow first, because if you get the apple then the arrow disappears.
