Contemporary has always been his secret forte- atleast to me, so I am happy that he gets to showcase that in his solo. I'm so proud of Hoshi. When I started stanning seventeen, I never fully appreciated his vocals but over the time I realized how great of a singer and dancer he was- not to mention his overall wholesome personality. And yes I really hope there will be a dance practice video. Considering it's Hoshi, our dance machine, I feel like he'll definitely release one.

The only problem is, Seventeen don't actually have a permanent visual line. Although Mingyu is the main visual, together with Vernon and Wonwoo, sometimes it's Joshua, Jun and Jeonghan.

Hoshi once joined in King of Masked Singer to prove that eventhough he's the main dancer he can sing too. Well, he used to join vocal team during their pre-debut when Jeonghan is not yet scouted by Pledis. I'm only waiting for your Seventeen reactions Jeff.
Fun Fact:- Hoshi was about to debut in Vocal Team but them again he was the only one who could be the Performance team leader so he went their.
But he flex his vocals here there everywhere. Hoshi lines and his voice are my personal favorites in the whole SVT discography. And here got to FLEX his vocals in this song. Believe me I have heard Spider for like 100 times since yesterday.

Maybe most people haven't noticed or just never talked about it, but in Lilili Yabbay the high notes are split between Hoshi and Jun! Their falsettos are *stunning* 🙌🏻 I'm so glad Hoshi is finally showcasing how much of an all-arounder he is!

This song reminds me a lot of Touch, Hoshi's previous solo that was performed at their Ideal Cut concert but never released (so we only have fancams of it). It's kind of a growth from that, somehow? Even better than I was expecting.

I thought the same. We tend to adore someone who has the same interest as us, and that's exactly why Hoshi look up to Taemin a lot - they love and gravitate towards the same thing.

What i like about this song is that it’s catchy, a very rich sensory experience, but it’s easy to listen to and plays with space rather than explosive volume or bass to create impact. It’s very well balanced!
It does give me Taemin vibes, which honestly can't complain because i love Taemin, but this is definitely his own style as well! Hoshi had another solo song called Touch in 2017 (only performed at concerts) and it had the same sexy, smooth vibe as this song has. I'm excited he went for this style again

I think this is style is exactly what most carats were expecting for his first official solo (but it’s even better lol) cause it’s very true to the style he has shown in his other songs. To me, it feels like a more elegant sequel to touch (his solo that you should totally check out!!) with a more funky sound instead of the electronic vibe he went for that time plus he has always loved imagery in dancing, this project just screams hoshi all over!

I loved that you loved this so much, it's such a different angle from our tiger. I was absolutely amazed at what core strength he has to hang and twist and turn like that, and I do agree that this is much more contemporary than I would have thought. He's normally so into Urban Fusion that it was good to see something different from him. This was slick and sensual in all the right ways.

Before he became the leader of the performance team, he was part of the vocal team before they debuted.
He said before that even if he is good info dancing, he want to prove that he can also be a good vocalist.
Just want to say to people out there, and not that i don't agree with jeff, but i want to point out that Hoshi is Hoshi, Taemin is Taemin. I know Hoshi loves Shinee so much and from what i know, Hurricane is actually inspired by Taemin - Move. And MAYBE Hoshi is inspired by Taemin for Spider too, but let's not forget that he actually really loves this kind of style from a really long time ago until now. So the style in Spider is not new if you know Hoshi, he likes this style a lot ❤️
And also! His vocal, his falsetto is one of my favorite thing ever of him. He actually can reach a really high note, and he often does falsettos in so many seventeen songs (but i can't remember which ones, but i'm sure he does it so many times until now)
