- Anne-Marie McDermott, a concert pianost and a recording artist, the artistic director of the Bravo! Vail Music Festival, talks about the features of Yamaha SX Series.
Warmth, depth, and a richly expressive sound, the SX Series inspires the players and beguiles the audience.
A darker instrument than the CF series, but has the same sustain, singing quality and pinpoint articulation. Magnificent.
Lovely pianist playing a lovely looking and sounding Yamaha - having Anne-Marie's take on the S7X compared to the CFX in terms of touch and sound would be very welcome indeed!
A lot of marketing blah blah blah-you probably make all the same statements about “richness” and “projection” and “clarity” and yadda yadda about all the previous pianos you’ve been paid to yadda yadda about-but what in fact is really different about this piano from other similarly-priced Yamahas? Different wood? Different construction technique? Why should I be excited about this one?
Hand built, and all of the above you already mentioned.
German hammers and strings. European spruce.
