Bisping is the superior fighter in all aspects of MMA compared to Rivera. And, the knee to the head when Rivera was down made no difference to the outcome of the fight. Rivera had recovered by round two..
Bisping was right to say that Rivera is not in the same league as him.
Bisping was right to be critical of Rivera's 'juvenile' antics on youtube.
Ultimately, its about the fight and who won. Nice job Bisping!

Bisping is a cool guy. I admire his determination and ability to be successful despite all the fans a fellow fighters trying to bring him down.

@BobReefer Your right, Bisping walked up to Rivera, didn't really get in his face, and demanded that he apologize, and said "go home loser", but these two ended up hugging cause Bisping thought Rivera's body language was apologetic, and squashed the beef.
Lesnar went right up to Mir's face, said something about beating him over the head with a golden horseshoe, no beef was squashed, and Mir still want to literally kill Lesnar. And there's that stuff with attacking one of the event's sponsors.

@cazz3000 I would never unsubscribe for something like that i respect you for your mma commentary the same as i respect bisping as a fighter regardless of different opinions ect. My point is just because Im sure you get TONS of people trashing the UK dosent mean the entire US has the same perception. For every arrogant American fan trolling the comments their are probably 3 genuine American fans who respect fighters for their skill set and that alone. Most my favorite fighters are Brazilian

How the hell does Ariel keep up with all the live fights when he's clearly missing them by interviewing other fighters? He was talking to Bisping for practically all of the BJ/Fitch 2nd round.

Very disappointed in Ariel Helwani and his one-side approach to Bisping in every interview about this fight. Completely let him off the hook, ignored the public dispariging statements Bisping made about Jorge- basically ignored all of the details about the fight.

Remember when he was a coach, and how he didn't do ANY trash talking or made ANY attempt to get under Hendo's skin? A class act.
That being said, how come we all scream for a fine and suspension when an Englishman does these post fight antics, but when, I don't know, some 300 pound, COORS LIGHT drinking country boy does similar things, we just either laugh it off, or call him an asshole, and move on?

There may be a miniscule difference in advantage from birth, ranging from education to genetics but it's just that, vary miniscule. Be it pertaining to his body, or anything else. You'd be foolish to think otherwise.

I don't know why everyone hates him. Im aussie and I think he's one of the best in the middleweight division. definitely no chance against silva but still a top level fighter. If you saw the rubbish rivera was talking about him you'd understand why he had to defend his honour. I wouldnt put up with that shit.

@Wrestlefan1 The knee was definitely intentional if Rivera is telling the truth. At the end of the round he said he walked up to him and asked him if he liked that.
Rivera deserves credit for getting up and fighting even though he could have called the fight and DQd Bisping.

@Wrestlefan1 Let's just make one thing clear first of all, I am in no way condoning Bisping's action, and if you look at the first part of my initial post, I was kinda attacking Bisping as well. Then you can say I was defending him on the second part, but not defending him too hard, it's just that his post fight antics kinda reminded me of what Lesnar did to Mir in their second fight.
I also think it's funny when Rivera's camp did what they did and they're crying for a fine/suspension.

You know, I thought that Michael Bisping was a real prick for the illegal knee and spitting at Jorge Rivera's Corner. The reality is that Bisping should not have let Jorge Rivera's immaturity get into his head.However, I can definitely understand why Bisping was so pissed off. If any of you actually watch the "leaked" Jorge Rivera video Making fun of Bisping you would understand why Bisping did what he did.
@USPSAman: Bisping apologised for it. All Rivera was saying after the bell was "Good fight" and trying to hug him. From Bisping's perspective, Rivera had spent a whole month running him and his family down, of course his blood is going to run high. The best thing Bisping can take from this is he needs to either shut his mouth (a la GSP) and let his fighting do the talking OR join in with the banter and hopefully get the better of his man. Bisping should have known better though.
It's cool to talk shit if you can back it up. I'm glad Bisping shut Rivera down.

@Jorbrad96 I think he was neutral the whole way through. Look at the Jorge interviews- it seems he sides with him as well. The whole point of an interview is to get a fighter's point of view, not necessarily the true facts. That's for the viewers to decide.
Bisping vs Sonnen will be a good fight the only problem is I like both guys equally so wouldnt know who to root for but Sonnen would wind Bisping up alot more than Rivera

The only good thing about Michael Bisping is some time in the near future we will get to see him knocked unconscious again, but before that we will get to see Chael Sonnen take him down and grind him for 15 minutes after talking shit to him for a few months.

The knee was 100% intentional, spitboy could clearly see rivera was down with both knees on the mat....
Well, I think he still has a weakness for the right-hand... One, he got dropped by Hendo, of course (but that's not that bad, anyone would drop)... Two, Wandy dropped him in the end of the third round... Three, Akiyama smacked him hard with a couple. Even Rivera landed a couple decent ones. I wouldn't say that it's a hole, but he certainly gets hit with them a lot.
Fine him and move on. The UFC won't do anything more drastic than that because they use him to market their overseas events. Bisping's skills have improved but i still don't see him getting past anyone in the top 5.
Look up Bisping's record. His best win's are against B level fighters like Akiyama, Leben and Hammil. Even then the Hammil fight was a BS decision which Hammil should have won.
He has got beat by A list fighters in every single fight he faces 1. Rashad, Wanderlei, and Henderson.
He really has yet to beat someone of great significance.
Wow, after the knee you can clearly hear Bisping yelling at him, " did you like that!?", repeatedly. It seems to me, that would imply, or commit, Bisping to have intention. He had a purpose, followed through with it; and then he asked Rivera, if he liked it? He'll [Bisping] admitt trash talk is dismissible, or expected; but only if it is done within his standards (which seems to omit the purpose of an opponent trash talking another opponent). Bisping's misconduct is more "damaging" to the sport.
