Marathi is a beautiful, clean coast in Souda Bay. It is a really popular destination because of its wonderful natural beauty and exotic atmosphere. It is divided into two wonderful beaches by a small port. Combined, the two have a total length of 300 meters.
Around the area, you will also find restaurants and taverns where you can try delicious Greek and Mediterranean specialties, as well as various types of comfortable, luxury accommodation (mainly villas and family homes).
The magnificent view of Cape Drapanos and the White Mountains makes swimming in Marathi a truly magical experience. Nearby, you will discover the archaeological site of Ancient Minoan, where you will see ruins of old buildings and baths and military installations.
The seaside resort of Loutraki is located 16 km east of the city of Chania, near the Naval Base of Souda. Along with neighboring Marathi, they are the main holiday destinations in the Eastern Cape region. In the closed bay of Loutraki, a calm cove with fine sand and blue shallow waters is formed, suitable for families with children. It is perfectly organized and offers all the necessary comforts.
