This series is amazing already, my suggestion is for an upcoming video is @lackism or lack illustrator !!
Hey Marc, could you do Kushinoba Ilya for this series of videos?
"Copying top artists to learn" is a great idea for a video series. I hope you will continue making these. It's super useful and entertaining at the same time.
ITS HERE THE VIDEO IVE BEEN WAITING FOR
I'd rather call it studying versus copying, but yeah this is a good series.
@@Birdhouseart That's the same thing. Studying an artist is "copying to learn". The important part is to learn, and not just copy, of course 🙂
When you do an artist study, you try to copy their process, make an art piece in their style and take something from this experience for yourself. But I get where you coming from, people will get triggered by the "copying" term, ignoring "to learn" part. With that in mind, maybe it will be more fitting to use "studying" instead. But it's just semantics, essentially.
@billrazor6591 why does copying references not help when it helps posing and constructing shapes etc. Since most artists these days won't be drawing from their imagination only but copy references
@@sael5084 I never said anything about using references, i don't know where are you getting that from. Artists of all skill levels use references in their work, there's nothing wrong with that. My original reply was about that "studying" an artist and "copying to learn" from an artist's work are essentially the same thing.
you're my top artist
Real
"You r my special" moment right here

I love how Marc is still a student while also a master teacher himself, always learning and sharing. Legendary.
Can you do:
-WLOP
-GUWEIZ
- RUAN JIA
-Zeen Chin
-Krenz Cushart
- Kan Liu
Definitely Guweiz! His art is so dreamy and lucid.
You really know all the good stuff
I would love to see WLOP and GUWEIZ!
THIS!!! ^ WLOP and GUWEIZ

As much as I come to watch the skills and technique based videos, these artist and style breakdown videos are a fascinating and useful addition. Not replacement, but addition. You always preach the importance of observation, but as someone still at an early stage, it's hard to look at things from multiple perspectives. Having these breakdowns helps build up a more integrated view of how the artist's skills and decisions blend together to form their style and images.
That’s how i study and apply other artist’s art, and this video just confirmed my work ethics😀
Show us how much you improved. Do you share your drawings?
@@sael5084bro does not want to show you his drawing😂
@Stylix444r they might not of actually done those practices it's okay
Considering I absolutely adore Mai Yoneyama's style, this was absolutely amazing to watch!
Please do keep making more of this series!
Artists suggestions:
Guweiz
Hyulla
Kei Urana
Mike Mignola
Mogoon
Rinotuna
Shigenori Soejima
Tatsuki Fujimoto
Wlop

Mai is my personal end game when it comes to art. I always loved their flowy dreamy and yes, their color correction does wonders to paint this cohesiveness that magically appears during their art process. Their artwork gives off that "being in the moment" which I love about art itself.
damn Marc you've really upped the editing quality. So cool to see! Love it
I don't have any idea about color theory but then I saw Mai's works and was mesmerized by it at an instant. I was wondering how she does this and makes it perfect all the time. But now I do know about how she does this thanks to you Marc. Hope I can imply these tips to my future works 😅😅
Let's gooo!
Finally... Been looking out for this one ❤️
this is my favorite series marc, learning so much and also being introduced to new artists.
Thank you so much for doing these. So fun to watch the breakdown!
'let me know if this series is worth pursuing' gneuh YES!? Longues vidéos aussi pour dessiner en même temps que toi!
Please don't stop making these videos, I learn so much from them and it gives me inspiration to keep practicing
I love you breaking down these styles, it helps me understand why certain styles pop and how i can add that to my own
This is amazing! I have also just discovered Mai works recently and has been captivated by how expressive it is, definitely a great artist to be inspired and learn from.
Omg this is the one I asked for in the Mika Pikazo video! Thanks for doing it ahahahha
I love these kinds of videos breaking down art as it helps me to study them better as a casual intermediate artist! Id love for you to continue this series it would help me a lot.
yesss!!! i'm so glad we got a second episode and it was well worth the wait! i'm really hoping we get another one!
I am absolutely LOVING this series! It's helped me learn things I had no idea about. Love your content!
Thank you for this series Marc! I hope you continue sharing more of these. It’s fascinating to learn how a pro artist like you breakdown another top artist’s works. Your videos never fail to help us out with new techniques (not to mention, they’re always fun!)
now i am starting to considering about taking his course, this is the power of ads affects to brain lmao
I love you Marc
Yes do more! Love this content!
Yes. More please. I appreciate your extra effort for this new direction. It’s really incredible stuff

yes please keep doing these types of videos, i love em
Well done. Looks great!
Love these series man, WE NEED MORE ❤
I loved this, please do more! Also, imo it's cool that you made clear that it took a month to do this. At least for me as a beginner this is important because we get used to watch 10 min speedpaints and stuff like that and forget to slow down, getting unmotivated for not being able to do cool stuff fast. Luv u Marc, wish the best for you and please keep going!
This video is so high quality, felt like a film PLEASE continue this series!
10:38 when you made the shadows a solid yellow, it made the painting more interesting to look at! crazy how the yellow makes everything POP!
Yes! Please do more of these, I love seeing your analyses of these, they give really interesting insights into different art styles and different ways on how to create different styles of artwork that I never really thought about trying before.
I like this a lot breaking down the process and seeing how they create their works of art. The art looks amazing.
I swear Marc Brunet is reading peoples mind when he comes up another video. Always gives the best tutorial in time when you need it!
I love these videos because it makes it seem that doing amazing art like this is possible and achievable, makes me want to draw and try new stuff!

Wow the improvement between the first drawing you did and this one is crazy!!
I love these studies. I've tried to do exactly this, but wasn't exactly sure how to go about it. It's great to see your process and how you observe and recreate each individual feature.

I'm so happy to see this series continue, I love any sort of technical analysis and seeing it applied to these art pieces is incredible! Well worth the wait from the last part with Mika.
One of these days when finances permit I'll definitely subscribe to your art course, your YT is truly an invaluable asset to all aspiring artists. Thank you as always Mark!
This is an excellent series man!
God, it's so breathtaking!
Love this series! It's cool to see the breakdown of different techniques and styles 🙌

WHAT AN AMAZING VIDEO!!!
This video was wonderful Marc. Your breakdown and presentation of the subject matter was very easy to understand. I’d love it if you keep making these. Much love to you!

this series is awesome! would love to see more^^
I love this series, pls continue
The amount I've improved my art over this one year alone because of your free content is astounding. I only wish I had the time for your course. Keep up the great work
Love the editing and the art as always. Definitely keep doing this
I really liked this speed run of studying! More please!
tis series is awesome, because i learn more about art as a beginner but also as an advanced artist, honestly helps me a lot
I've to agree with many others. This is a great idea. So many artists mention studying other artists' work (not only masters) is a wonderful practice. But to get to experience it through professionals, laid out like this is such a treat! Great work.
This is really well breakdown, when I'm looking at Mai's work, I usually get overwhelmed but with this I kind of have the idea now on how they made it
please never stop making this kind of video sir marc. it's really really helpful!!
also, please do one on guweiz too!
Such a good series. Definitely keep it going! Tons of great artists to learn from.
yeeeessss! make more of these!!!
I absolutely love this series of learning the art of other artists. Seeing how you break it down is a great way to learn from cause it puts you in our position of adapting pieces of our favorite artists into our own blended work. It's fantastic.
Thank you so much for this video Marc! Yoneyama Mai is one of my absolute favorite artists and this video helps me understand her process so much. I hope you continue doing this series!
Aye, very much happy to see you pick yoneyama mai, as a fan of her myself, this is very much useful in my endeavors. Thank you Marc.

I'd love to see more of this series, ive learned a lot of new things to implement on my works just based off the two episodes you've done. Thank you very much Marc, keep up the good work :)
