This song is about Cody hating to leave home, his wife and kids and jumping on the bus heading out on tour. He loves the fans but he hates leaving his family. This is why he says he never breaks even. Great song but it is his hurt he is singing about. But as with any good song, it should hit home to those that listen to it and allow it to create a personal story to them.
Finally somebody got ir right. The song is about having to leave your loved ones in order to make a living.

It gets better, eventually, now it seems like that isn't in sight but it will be. Keep busy and talk with friends, it helps through the hard times. Music is the best medicine also

Love this song, been listening to it on and off the last few months, it describes my life. Tonight though, those tears are alot less than they used to be, cause I now have some strength to do what should have been done a long time ago. Still hurts though. Being with someone for almost 20 yrs does that, growing up together and thinking that will be your last love and then, no, it doesn't end like that. I'm now gone as he is as well. No more in the middle. It will get better. If you feel as if it won't ever get better, it does, you just need to heal and look fwd to what is to come.
