- केवल पत्रकारिता करके गुजारा नहीं चलता. #Rural इलाकों में पत्रकारों के पास संस्थागत समर्थन न के बराबर है. उनका जीवन यापन अखबारों के लिए 'विज्ञापन खोजने' से लेकर कमीशन पर निर्भर है.
#Varanasi के स्वतंत्र पत्रकार शिव दास कहते हैं, "हमें ऐसा महसूस कराया जाता है कि हम पत्रकारिता एक शौक के रूप में कर रहे हैं. ऐसा तब है जब हम समाचार के प्राथमिक स्रोत हैं. #Delhi जैसे शहरों से लोग उन कहानियों को कवर करने आते हैं जो पहले ग्रामीण पत्रकारों द्वारा रिपोर्ट की जाती हैं. लेकिन उनके लिए इन पत्रकारों का कोई मूल्य नहीं है. कई बार उन्हें बाइलाइन भी नहीं दी जाती."

The yesterday story on Pawan Jaiswal and other local reporters was truly moving. Organizations stealing their credit, disowning them when in trouble, not paying them. Media should essentially be decentralized so that we also get MP news instead of just PM news... Will watch this interview late at night.
Could I offer a suggestion? I checked out the goods on NL store. Mug with Which naxal are you, urban suburban...? Tshirt with political cartoons, sab mile hue hain ji on a plain black tshirt. Nice designs, nice cartoons. But honestly, having a certain logical political opinion is one thing, but one might still not want to wear their political opinion. Not in a formal office, not in a meeting considering that the other guy might happen to be right-leaning, not in a birthday party, friends' party.
So, while delivering news, you are competing with India Today, Indian Express and other news outlets. But while marketing tshirts, you are competing with tshirt brands, their look, feel, textures, designs, fabric, color. It's like - "I need a new tshirt. Why not buy from NL? It will be supporting their journalism, plus I want a tshirt anyways." So it's good if the customer doesnt buy NL tshirt out of moral duty to support good journalism, rather he/she actually likes that tshirt / mug / sipper.

Local journalist se achachha news koe nhi dikhata hain....Dalali to Bade bade channel wale karte hain.Local jounalist nhi rahta to rural area ka ek bhi news pata nhi chalta hain..
All 99% journalists in Hindu rashtar are corrupt, like cops, businessmen & politicians etc.
