- Closing credits and theme music to the 1980s kids sci-fi puppet show Star Fleet.
Series Summary:
As the year 3000 approaches, a war-torn Solar System is invaded by the Imperial Alliance in search of a supreme being, the F-01. The experimental X-Bomber spacecraft with its young crew must discover the secret of F-01 and turn it against the Imperial Alliance or all will be lost. - Zábava
The amount of time and effort that went into this series including the soundtrack is absolutely mind blowing.
No wonder I'm still watching/listening nearly 40 years later.
The great Denise Bryer was a real stalwart voice artist
Absolutely love this program
we need a live action of this.
I saw this show when I was 2 years old and I always remembered this song ,almost like dream, now hearing it again 35 years later, seeing it and remembering it, I a, overcome with nostalgia... thank you for posting this.
i am 49 now.still what a theme!!!!
I was 3. This was literally the first thing I remember on TV. It brought a tear to my eye the first time I heard it as an adult.
Also Brian May covered it, which is amazing (look at the band members that Brian May covered this with)
@@sufirodger I couldn't have written that first paragraph any better. It was literally the first thing I ever remember seeing on TV when I was 4 or 5. Everyone singing the theme tune on the playground at break times. Haha! In fact thinking about it now, this was my first encounter with Japanese animation which I became obsessed with in my teens.
PS: Didn't Brian May write this theme then?
Claus Von Stauffenberg - Brian May covered it (and it got high in the charts). Originally (the end credit song) was Composed by Paul Bliss (I believe it was someone else who sung it (not Brian May) but I can’t confirm this). Brian May used to watch it with his son in the mornings, and (afaict) started playing it in a jam session, with (amongst others) Eddie Van Halen!! So they ended up covering it.
@@sufirodger Yeah, after i wrote that comment last night i found the Brian May video. Eddie Van Halen on guitar too hahaha So 80's it was awesome!
They really ought to bring this back in some form on Netflix or whatever. Either animated or puppets. I think today's kids would love it.
Thanks for sharing! My father Andy Brown is singing. Wish I got to see the show ❤
Never forget that Cmdr Makara was voiced by the same woman who played Zelda in Terrahawks
Captain Carter was played by Luke Skywalker's friend Biggs Darklighter.
And Lamia was played by Biggs' real life wife!
@@darthdmc and lamia looks like claudia winkleman :)
And space pilot John Lee was played by Drake from Aliens I do believe
She was one sexy alien puppet babe!
I finished watching STAR FLEET IN Sunday morning of 1995. I really enjoyed it. & it's badass matured storyline for a kids show. 🤖🤓
wow I never finished the story of this show. wanna know what happened to commander makara. The last episode I saw when I was a kid was when Makara sa relieved out from her command ship.
@@jansandman6983 Well. Commander Makara's battlecruiser was defeated & infiltrated by robot Di-X inside the battlecruiser. As d troops were on abandon ship, Commander Makara stayed on her bridge as a martyr. As Di--X reached the bridge, Shiro found Commander Makara. He shouted "For Captain Carter!". As Di-X crushed Makara with its giant fist.
(poor Makara)
Then the finale was they discovered that Princess Lamia was the so-called "F-01" weapon. As she evolved into as celestial being & defeated the Imperial Master.
After she defeated the Imperial Master. Lamia made a bid farewell to the STAR FLEET crew & to Shiro. She was already a celestial guardian & disappeared in space. As STAR FLEET X-Bomber went home to Earth. That's how it ended.
Poor Shiro. He lost his girlfriend to be Lamia. ☺

Me and my friends always thought Makara was Shiro's mom 😅@@krrrimmi8343

'Send a message out across the sky... y... y... y... y...
'Alien raiders just past Ge-mi-ni... i... i... i... i...
'Who will come and save us now...
'Who can defend us from their pow-ow-ow-er?
'Chad Field, Chad Field... up the bum
'Chad Field, Chad Field... up the bum'
i used to watch this when i was about 10ish, im now 42 and still remember it, think ill watch them again
Haven't heard this song in ... 37 years, I think. Awesome song.
I have been looking for this series for SUCH a long time! Was my favorite show when I came home from school in the early 80's!
This show airs on Samsung TV plus.
Theme is awesome.
Loved this. It was so sad about the fire which destroyed everything and stopped series 2.
I wonder if the fire was deliberate to prevent another series. I mean, the story was finished: F01 was completed.
My fave kiddie show every Sunday mornings. Awesome ending soundtrack too.(1995) :-D
I got goosebumps, man
me too hearing it after 40 years
This really needs a new HD remaster.

Z hear this
Ladies and gentlemen, The Voice of who sings this them is none other than the Drummer of the band Queen, Roger Taylor!!!
No it isn't. The actual singer here is Andy Brown, bassist of The Bliss Band, as confirmed by the show's composer Paul Bliss.
Brian May actually covered this.
Roger does backing vocals in Brian's version of this song, and Brian sings it of course.
