Used to be the Three Kings (who deliver the presents instead of Santa), but, like St. Nicholas at Germany, seems like Epcot’s staying away from the more religious- based holiday figures to avoid offense.

What are you talking about? Half of the music in this video is heavely based on religious concepts! One song ("Campana sobre Campana", 3:47) starts with a direct reference to watching Baby Jesus over the window, and the chorus basically says "oh, bells of Bethlehem that the angels use as instruments, which are the Good News that you bring?" Another song ("Las Posadas", 12:15) is a song CREATED BY THE CATHOLIC CHURCH to teach the story of the birth of Jesus Christ in Mexico thru a series of small fiestas celebrated over a week of December. This specific sort of party, also named "Posada", ends with the breaking of a spike-decorated piñata (with five spikes in the video piñata, or seven spikes in the oldest traditional piñata design). Acording to the religious canon, the spikes represent the sins, so people breaking the piñata are simbolically breaking away from a sinful life so they can get rewarded with blessings from above in the form of candy. But yeah, sure, EPCOT is "staying away" from "religious- based holiday figures". Whatever, man. Go break a piñata on a public park, let see if that forces you to touch grass while you're taking the candy in the ground.
