Thank you for speaking slowly, I'm french and I can understand what you're saying ! Great job and one more subscribe !
This is the most subtle shade at Squidge Rugby and I'm here for it
Thank you. I learn a lot
Damn this French team is so fun to watch.
Very good video. Made me realize France's attacking was more deliberate than I suspected. It feels like their sexy plays are just really good Rugby players doing their thing individually, but there's a common thread to these plays and a structure. Also, I hadn't even noticed Dupont's speed distributing really until now. At 5:50, damn, that's well spotted, and you're right, his eyes do light up and sure enough he ends up with the assist on the play.
Thanks, @yoe91! I love your work- thanks for making these cool videos showcasing some great talent! Yeah, Dupont's brain combined with athletism has allowed him to elevate to be the best in the world right now. Looking forward to digging deeper over the Autumn Nations Cup. I'm sure you're going to create some cool stuff from it!
@@ContactCoach Sadly you won't have much to see from this specific french team :/ These players won't be available after the first match against fijis
@@mr.meeseeks3074 I hope something can be worked out!!
@@ContactCoach It will allow us to see what Galthié is truly capable of... Is he lucky or a living legend ? (Probably both ...)
@@ContactCoach Not really. The agreement between the fed and the clubs for this time only allows players to play 3 times...
It feels like if France didn't win the Tournament, they at least won back the hearts of rugby amateurs. As a Frenchman who watched so many poor games during so many years I can say it's a relief! Hope it will last!
Absolutely agree
I watch England because I want them to win
But now I am watching France again because I want to see enjoyable rugby rather than the never ending kick-chase
Looking forward to 2023 already
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know a tool to log back into an instagram account?
I somehow lost the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Isaac Baylor Instablaster ;)
Coming from a Canadian - It lasted. 2 years later and they're great. Wish I could say the same for my own
Dupont is the best scrum-half of the world. Great analysis, thank you !
Forget scrum half, he is one of the very best players in the world and has probably been for a few seasons now for those who have closely followed him (and he's had a grave injury 2 years ago 3 months after his incredible performance against the ABs)
@@financialliberty2381 Yes, he became better after coming back from his ACL surgery.. Insane player
@@maxb1043 hmmm not even sure about that, think he was already this good before his injury (see his performances against NZ or Australia A with the Babaas).
Main difference is that he just wasn't playing for an as good French team as since last year.
@@financialliberty2381 I'm french, I watch all games of Toulouse, and I can assure you that he improved a lot his kicking game, his ability to take a step back from his style and analyze better the gameplay. He does take better decisions than before his injury.
Though he does not attack the line as much as he did before his injury, that's why he stepped up I believe.
Many txs for this interesting vid. I think its too early to enhance "Dupont is the best". Let him grow ;)
Just have a look on the comparison between Faf de Clerck & Antoine.
Well spoted for Dupont's eyes. that just shows how good the guy is. He knows when to follow the ball for quick distribution or anticipating support for breakthrough. He see's thing before they happen.
Love his anticipation! Always thinking then the athletism to do it!
They're a very young team with still lots of progress to make. They will be a formidable team in the years to come.
Sure, but dont forget they are U world s champions twice and playing every weeks together OR FACE TO FACE in TOP 14. So youngs, in shape and accurates
There's one guy who's never mentioned, William Servat "nickname La Buche" , he takes care of the front training and look at how the scrums get more stable and less penalized than before. I've seen few videos showing the way he talks to the guys, well I now understand many things about the way France plays.
Merci c'était très intéressant.
Pas de problème!
Man,your analysis is top notch. Never realised what a genious Dupont is. Obviously an amazing player.
I've heard so much buzz about Dupont, but being in the Southern Hemisphere and not watching many Six Nations games, I didn't fully understand the hype. This video showed me that Dupont is going to be a BIG problem for teams in the future!
In fact not only Dupond is a threat but a large part of his team. With two U worlds champions teams Galthié have a problem of rich people... he has a real 2d team on the bench (and in the stands).
Let see the next North Hemispher s tournament ... in 3 month
“A good hockey player plays where the puck is. A great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be” Wayne Gretzky.
Guess what can we say about Dupont?
Great video and I look forward to watching the one you plan to do regarding Shawn Edwards as he totally changed the French mentality.
As a French, I’m thrilled to see my EDF playing so clinical and with so much enthusiasm and professionalism!!! Bravo to the whole team led by Galthié and Ibanez!!!
You’ve got a new subscriber btw:)
Great video. The diagrams for the running lines are so helpful, this shows how much Dupont has talent for this game in terms of anticipating what's going to happen next. Just brillant.
He's a special player with an exciting future! Thanks for taking a look!
Awesome content for us lay people! Thanks for breaking things down. I've watched rugby my entire life, but I've found most commentary (I follow French & British channels), especially from broadcast, is very superficial. Not yours.
Thanks, R G, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and I'm pleased you enjoy the content!
Please keep doing this, you can not imagine how valuable you are doing, I have learned a lot with your videos, please
That's great to hear! Thank you for watching 👊 I hang out on Instagram a lot (@thecontactcoach) so head that way, too.
(google translate 😁)
Very interesting thank you. Unlike those that some may say in France the attack of les Bleus is not just due to chance. It’s very structured.
Exact mon ami super structuré
Great video. Shawn does a good job. If our defence goes well, our offense will be more efficient. This game needs to be top physically. During the last 6 nations, Covid has slow the french team.. Dupont is the Factor X. His ability to be at the right place at the right moment is important. We also have many impact players. It's going to be fun to see how far they will go.
I have nothing against Shaun Edwards, but Galthie set the french defence during the last world cup. It actually was less performant during this 6 nations.
That's true- France conceded 13 tries (only better than Italy on 25) but I don't think that tells the full story. Three of those tries were conceded vs Scotland with a red card. The foundation has been laid and I think France will only improve in this area which is really exciting for World Rugby! I'm hoping France and England play in the final of the Autumn Cup.
vrai
All the British media / analysts always put in front Shaun Edwards as the main reason of our success recently... I mean he is part of it of course, but I don't think our defence was the best trait of our game this tournament, hence your vid is on point :)
@@Alex-df1zf agree, a big area that can be improved- which is really exciting for France!
It takes time to truly adjust and master it, but the progress they've made and the difference in intensity is crazy. This French team are just a joy to watch.
TL;DR : Dupont carries us so hard ! The -20 World Champions (Dupont, Ntamack, etc) gave us so much potential compared to post 2011 WC ! I feel we can compete against pretty much every single top tier team now ! Cant wait to see what's next for this team !
Exciting times for French rugby!
Great video! You make me think at these attacks with a new eye. You give great insight into the attacking moves by helping us stepping back and see the moves around the ball. It makes these great moves even more enjoyable. Thanks a lot 👍
It's always fun watching around the ball as that's usually the unseen work that creates the opportuities!
Thank you for your analysis. Very clear understanding delivered in convincing explanations.
Thanks, Frederic. I appreciate the nice comments and thanks for taking a look!
Great analysis, from certainly an expert rugby lover. Congrats
Thanks, Johan, for having a look! 👊
You"re clearly an expert.
Great video, great analysis! Keep going!
Thanks, Emmanuel!
Great analysis! Thanks
Thanks for taking a look, Brundle!
Your video is really well made, i can now watch rugby with more accuracy.
I hope France team is going to keep on improving, the physicality of rugby nowadays makes me worried about injuries and the loss of good players, but we will see. Thanks again for this video, i've learnt a lot! (sorry if bad english)
Thanks for taking a look! I'm sure the French are on an upward curve. Exciting times!
Subscrided. Really great analysis. Very informative.
I can't wait for the second crunch in one year!
Thanks! It would be great to see a full French team but looks like we have to wait until next year.
@@ContactCoach Not sure... Do not forget that against italians, 11 french players were brand new, in the team. N'tamack should come back.
I repeat: i can't wait!!!!
@@declissonolivier9376 It's going to be fun. France can go with no fear and hopefully cause England some problems!
Awesome video. I can't believe I only found this channel now.
Same here :)
Thanks for having a look!
Really like this analysis, makes you think as a coach how you would develop your clubs attack.
Thanks, Michael! It’s always fun seeing what different teams do and seeing how it can be amended into your own coaching environment.
Excellent!
Thank you, that was so interesting! You know what you are talking about
Thanks, Etienne!
Excellent video, thank you !
Thank you for watching 👊
Trés bonne analyse, merci pour la video
This breakdown is sick! Love it
Thanks for taking a look, Gabriel!
J'ai cliqué car y'avait nouuuuuuuus sur la miniature
Interesting video, would be really keen to hear if you know what basic drills they would run for this and how community coaches might go about introducing similar set ups
Hi Andy! I think the big thing to look at first is playing with tempo and working on the skills needed for that. Big areas of focus will be catch/pass, and then pre-contact (footwork to find an edge), in-contact (leg-drive, work on floor to present), and post-contact (getting back in the game quickly) technical skills.
I would really encourage doing this through as many games as possible so players can start to understand doing these skills under game conditions. In your games, really hammer home an aspect you're working on. For example, if you are working on presenting the ball, in the game you ensure that every time the ball is carried into contact, the player must work on the floor to produce clean ball. Every time this happens you can award a point, every time is does not happen you turnover the ball.
Also important to keep the game flowing, fun and intense. More than happy to jump on a call to chat more about this (email me at thecontactcoach@gmail.com if you want to follow up).
Such a great video. Thank you!
Thanks, mate!
Really enjoyed your video, thank you.
Could you (or anyone else) explain the following abbreviations in the table you show: M, CA, MK, BH, PM and BTS ?
Thanks for watching! Here are the meanings M (Meters), CA (Carries). MK (Meters Kicked), BH (Ball played by Hand), PM (Passes Made) and BTS (Broken Tackles).
Great content, keep going! Cheers from a new subscriber ;)
Thanks for taking a look 👊
Merci pour cette excellente analyse .. un nouvel abonné ..good job thank you
Belle analyse
Great video!
Thanks!
thanks for the best rugby analysis
Thanks for watching!
great stuff
Thanks, Matt!
Very good analysis. I recognise many of our current strengths and game style. Very exciting stuff from our boys who definitely won some HUGE support last year. Hope they'll keep it up this 6N. Unfortunately we have both NTamack and Vakatawa out for the beginning of it. But I'm excited to see how Vincent and our new cute boy Pierre-Louis Barassi will do. You ll really like these new guys, ^^ Well Vincent did play already. Want him to score his first try now ^^
Hi Romain! I can't wait to see how France develop in this 6 nations. As you say, they took a big step forward and won the hearts of French rugby fans. I wonder if this will turn into expectation like it always does in England? With that, more pressure?! I love to see France playing well and long may that continue!
Très bonne vidéo. Merci du boulot
Thanks, Yannick!
Great video thank you 👌
Thanks, Alex!!
- 2011 : good french team
2011 - 2018 : irregular
2018 - 2020 : starting to rebuild
2020 : young good team
2020 - 2023 : progress
2023 : World Champions in France
Alexandre Evian Erreur d’anglais.
that's it !
Great video! :-)
I'd like to help with French subtitles, would you be interested?
If you could email me on thecontactcoach@gmail.com we can go from there! Thanks and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
I think it's clear, you demonstrate through the case of Dupont that aliens love playing rugby.
Very good video continue like this
Thanks, Samuel!
nice
Thank you ! from France
Thanks for watching!
merci contact coach!
You're welcome 👊
Merci !!
Thanks for watching!
Lasts french games approve your analyse...
Subscribed, awesome content. The French really are getting it together arent they.
Thanks! They sure are...!
These are some very fine analysis, thank you !
Just so you can take it easier on the wording...
- in Dupont, the last "t" is mute, as for 95% of final letters in french, same applying for Thomas.
- Fickou has to be pronouced "feekoo", without anything fancier, as the sound "oo" is always produced with the pair "ou" (no exception, enjoy !)
Love it- I appreciate the feedback on this 👊
The only thing that came naturally to me was running that cheat line, as a 7, I'd find myself running up the field ahead of the play looking back at it and then meeting the ruck at the point of contact. I've tried to coach it but some players just really struggle with it. Then again, put me in the centre's waiting for the hole to develop and I struggle. I really believe players should be picked on how they see the field as much as, if not more than, they are for their physical attributes.
May I ask you a question ? I would like to know what do you say : " a little ???? round ? It is 1'06" from the start. Many thanks
My coach "greatest attack is attacking opponents indecision and errors " i saw that here
Agreed! Thanks for watching.
Super video +1 sub
Thanks for the sub!
Où sont les sous-titres en Français ?
Quelque part
Merci beaucoup
Yes there is no flair here. Just work, train, oportunities quick taken. And a lot of talents in this very large young team. U World s champions twice. Playing together every weeks in TOP 14 .
So, a team very dificult to win (without a 16th member !...)
Great points! Exciting times for France!
@@ContactCoach lets see next 6 Nations Cup. Will be very exciting when France ll play with England.
@@ohpatriote5622 Agreed! That's going to be a big game!
Watch Samoa vs Fiji 2017
Fiji #9 Henry Seniloli scored 3 try’s untouch same thing what DuPont is doing now....Just saying 3 years down the line 😎
I'll take a look at this! Thanks for sharing.
👍👍
really great video, to be shown to all the sh playng the game! ps didn't knew this supporting line is called the cheat-line ;-)
Great attacking Rugby is never by chance is it? Yeah there'll be the odd lucky pass here and there but its almost always deliberate
Ballistic...😘😊
Ca y est on fait des jaloux 😂
Is impossible anylisis french attack because french flair individual + team = french attack
Life is full of patterns!
The only flaw about this team is: too many fouls. That's someting annoying to me, since I am French too and can't help to notice how much gifts this team is giving to their foes on a match
Agreed- can not afford to give away easy penalties!
France England Scotland are most great and powerful country's in northan hemisphere!
Les whinging poms font la gueule 😂
france is the best team of the world, rosbeef buddies!! we ve been stolen by politicals referree s decisions,in 2 word cup finals,in south africa and new zealand,we ll show you that french flair is an essentiajl component, and win the 2next world cups, starting by winning 6 nations tournements!!start to cry..."good game"....cocorico,vive la france!!!
that troll though🤨🙄
