Bruce Bruce used to come to my job and give me passes to Uptown Comedy club in Atlanta in the 90s. Fast forward some years later my family and I are at Ryan’s buffet restaurant in Riverdale on the south side, Bruce walks in and sees me, starts cracking jokes for 5 minutes straight and had my grandma in tears! My granny is 93 now and we still laugh about Bruce Bruce in Ryan’s. Dude will never buy a drink if I’m around 💯
Shout out to Ryan's buffet...lol. Golden Corral took over the buffet lane.

Bruce is one of the greatest entertainers out there. He had us cracking up at Greenbriar Mall one day we were skipping school (Therrell High). Such a great man and he deserves all the accolades he receives.

A dark skinned Lena Horne" That was the best description of her I EVER heard.A very beautiful woman.NOTHING compares to a beautiful dark skinned woman.Judy Pace, Naomi Campbell,Kenya Moore, Amara La Negra, Anok Yai and MANY others ( like my mom, my sister and my cousin Pauline... they aint famous, but beautiful dark skinned women).Chocolate is flawless.Complexion, skin, teeth and hair was ALWAYS on point.One of my favorite jokes from Chocolate was when she took lyrics from Biggie's" One More Chance".Biggie said " Girls pee pee when they see me"

This is a great conversation by two well-crafted comedians sharing cool memories and solid insight on their artistry.
I met Pierre in LA back in 1992. My best friend played for LA College. I came to visit him. My friend was messing with some chick that Pierre was dealing with. They argued a bit. Pierre was at least a foot shorter than my homie. I broke them up. I was in the Army in Texas two years later and ran into Pierre at the mall near Fort hood. He recognized me quickly got me in the club that night too. ✌🏽

Bruce Bruce ain’t never lied about how difficult Chris Charles could be. In a strange way he helped us( amateurs) to be able to handle any adversities that might present itself once we got on the road.
I remember seeing both of ya'll at Just Jokin in Houston with Montana Taylor I was performing for Apollo night . Bruce Bruce was going back and forth with a heckler in the crowd who was a local Houston comedian loved seeing ya'll perform and ya'll was alawys nice to me I met Alot of the famous comics now

Yeah, social media the Internet in general has broaden the audience a comedian can reach. Remember back in the day if you couldn’t get on a particular program or get into a club and do your act might not have the chance to blow up but now there are just so many more opportunities, and you have more people than ever listening.
