I felt so much nostalgia while watching this kind of classic video,no I haven't watched or heard about this movie,it's just because of how this movie portrayed the very simple way if living before. No some type of gadgets and all other technological advancement ,so peaceful and quiet,,ohh I so miss this way of living 😞

she was treated like literally a pig in this film by her employers. This film is very heartbreaking and sad. The protagonist doesnt deserve the hate and suffering. She only wants to survive and send money to her parents who pushed her to work as a maid. This is realistically what is happenning in our society esp. back then people treat maids as slaves.

have you seen the whole film? I'm pretty sure this monologue isn't the only criteria why she won. You have to see the bigger picture if where the character's emotion is coming from. She is probably depressed here, which is the reason why she acts like she's empty. Neutral emotions. She doesn't cry or laugh. It is what it is.
