I love CSU but we all need to do better. I'm a graduating Senior and I've been here since 2013 and I can say that this video is true, the administration needs to communicate better with the student body. Us as the student body also needs to conduct ourselves in a more professional manner. I've really enjoyed my time here and want to see it get better! Thankful for all of my professor's and administrators that are committed to our success! For God ! For Central! For State!

I am an alumni of Central State University. I graduated in 2007. I loved my time on the yard. I felt at home when I did college tour during senior year of high school. I will say your experience is what you make it. We had to deal with the fire alarm being pulled. But I wouldn’t trade the relationships or experience for anything because professors saw me as a person, they knew my name I could reach them after office hours. Family and friends for life.
Wow. I'm moving in tomorrow but none of this changes my personal view. My uncle graduated from here and I also got a football offer but turned it down just because my passion and drive for football ended at high school.
I LOVE Central State University!! i received so much from here and i do NOT KNOW where to begin. The experienced that I received that supports my major (edu) is priceless. ARTS to Education I AM IN IT... FGFCFS..
I actually graduated from a nearby college, Wright State University. I had friends that went to Wilberforce that we’re doing research papers at 9pm at Wright State. When I asked why they were here, they said their library closes early and doesn’t have the resources they need for their papers. Horrible! Both of my parents went to HBCU’s (Howard and Wilberforce) and they both talk about the family environment but it looks like renovating needs to be done at some HBCU’s.
It is so unfortunate that students feel this way about the university. It is hurtful that students have to resort exploitative media in order to get a positive reaction out of the powers at the helm. From what I have seen here, there are some other dynamics that "our" students need to prepare for and completely understand before and during one's matriculation through college. Kudos for your bravery in speaking out but I hold a lacking glance for some of the responses that may do more damage than good in this light. Thank you for sharing. P. S. I agree most with the comment about the lack of CSU pride!!! EXCELLENT POINT!! Where do you attend? What is YOUR mascot? Or, as we say in Marauder Land, "What's your Schoooooool?" C! S! U! I just support black schools. I happen to have gone to Central State University! More Unity through our unique contributions, less feuding for best in the Midwest, trying to overcompensate in the lack of tradition that is so much more embedded in our Southern counterparts!
SayYesToAwesome actually since graduating from Central State University with a bachelors in Mathematics, I now attend graduate school getting a masters in Applied Statistics. Central State University prepared me by offering me opportunities for internships and research experience. I also was given a full ride to attend Central State and graduated with no debt. As previously stated, I attend graduate school now on scholarship because of the preparation I received from Central State University. Now is Central perfect of course not but what school is? The purpose of undergrad to prepare you for the real world if your focused on anything other than your academics and preparing your future then you need not be there in the first place. Congratulations on transferring only the strong survive at Central State University. #ProudCentralian

Its sad that students feel like the school is not clean. it is very sad when a student feels like they had more at thier highschool then what Central is providing!
you should still let him visit I am about to be a sophomore and I love my HBCU. Central is not a bad school at all honestly I believe you should let him come to central or at least take a campus tour it really has changed me for the better already

I have a question about this school. So my parents are forcing me to go to either go to CCSU or get a job. This was not my first choice. In fact this was my last choice. I live in CT and this school gets a bad rep in my high school. People say it's for dumb people. Is that true? My plan was to go here for 2 years then transfer if I still don't want to go here. I want to be a human resource manager as a career. Can someone pls resolve these issues/reassure me ?
