y'know its only just occurred to me that return to slumber sounds a LOT like great gig in the sky but a little more relaxed, especially the piano the piano is spot on

Its insanely good after the first few hours and even better on second playthroughs
Start with Dark Souls 1 and Demon's Souls (on PS3), then it's a toss-up between Kingsfield 4 or Bloodbourne. Then stop. No mas- unless you NEED more: DS3 is severely lacking in the everything department besides graphics and a healthy multiplayer community. I would call it a good DLC with an un-bitch-aboutable rolling system.
This has really been hitting hard on repeat this past few weeks with this lockdown and everything. Theres a particular feeling I couldnt quite pin down when listening to some of these pieces, particularly the Maiden In Black and Majula. But, this word appeared on a newsfeed somewhere which kinda sums up everything right now

Awesome compilation man. The only song I disagree with is Hail the Nightmare. That song was the most disturbing one in Bloodborne to me, considering its context within the game. But that aside this list is great to praise the sun while fearing the old blood!
Hail the Nightmare is even worse if you understand latin...

I got to say demon's souls in my humble opinion has the best soundtrack in the medium of games.
I found Ds1s Sountrack to be the best. Demon Souls often is too powerless.
I agree in a lot of ways. The way a lot of the themes build off the main theme, it feels almost humble in a way. It’s a cool contrast with the earth shattering events of the game

The Demon's souls soundtrack it's so unique, it stands out
Literally my entire incentive to complete the Souls series is to listen to their soundtracks.
As of right now, I’ve finished Dark Souls I, II, and III, along with Bloodborne. Gotta finish the Valley of Defilement in Demon’s Souls Remake, play through Sekiro, and enjoy Elden Ring’s beautiful music when it comes out next year!!

I'm on my way to play all the souls games, I'm done with bloodborne, demons souls, and I'm in the middle of the first dark souls, and all I have to say is thanks from software, thanks for giving us this genre, thanks for giving us Simple but at the same time very complex games, which start out as irritating and tiring, but which teach you well and give you unbeatable satisfaction, which have a story that is simple, but which hides a lot and invites you to discover for yourself. And thanks from software for the level of detail of your games, it is spectacular to feel that each thing hides or shows something, that each enemy has a lore and different mechanics from others, and thanks for making that when we put on the resistance ring the falls an image of a kitten appears in demons souls. thank you very much from software.

Excellent playlist with one glaring exception: Hail the Nightmare is NOT relaxing in the slightest! That is the most unsettling track in all of Bloodborne (if you ask me).

I dont think they sell the original anymore. Unless it's key resellers who charge an arm and a leg. Personally i prefer the 60frames per second of the remaster.

Unfortunately this playlist can't be asserted as 100% CALM or studytime-able. Please take this as a constructive criticism.
The list opens up its quarter with "Maiden Astraea", with is objectively a stressful tune (I mean, wtf), immediately followed by "The Nexus", which has organ harmonics that are anxiety-inducing (just listen to this in comparison to Hail the Nightmare, the latter ,although obviously a HORROR piece, is calm, while The Nexus is too unnerving for relaxation).
The second quarter takes the listener by surprise by following the chill tunes of Firelink and Dark Sun with "Princess of Sunlight", which, once again, can't be considered calm on any stretch of the imagination, since it follows a victory fanfare motif.
At the end of the list, I question your choice of "Lullaby for Mergo" smply because of its high-level thumps, which are extremely disturbing to study activity.
