There are some people who are just born to sing, and I think Dimash is just that. I've never seen someone who has both the artistry and the technique on top of his natural gift. I feel like looking back, our generation will be able to say "yeah, I was alive when Dimash sang" the same way that people remember the Beatles or Elvis. He's not just a "once in a lifetime" talent, I think. He may be the only person who ever has that perfect combination of range, artistry, work ethic and global stardom. Truly incredible.
This is the festival "New Wave" in Sochi (Russia). There was a competition of young performers and concerts of Russian artists. Dimash acted as a guest at the jubilee concert of the Kazakh group "A-studio". Baigali Serkebaev - the author of the song - plays the piano here. It was a phenomenal performance! Superb low notes at the beginning, unreal high notes at the end. And again the oriental tones in the song! Melismа in the finale together with the last "Дай" - 23 seconds! Dimash used kazakh singing technique. Saha people ( Russia) uses this technique too.

Hello! So i never comment in any dimash thing, nor am i in any Dimash group. I silently enjoy his music but i recently had the chance going to his concert in NYC just by pure accident (i was in NYC on vacation. The show happened to be there, i decided to join) and i was just sitting there shaking my head wondering how its possible that we didnt make mistakes. I mean, i really listened for playback or lipsync (kinda hoping it wasnt real, honestly) but he really was singing. Needles to say, i had shivers the entire time. I heard from people there that hes having a concert on the 19th if march in Hamburg (not sure if thats the correct city) but i live in the Netherlands and considering going. His voice life really is an astonishing thing. Much love!

He’s been very busy winning numerous award, putting out new music and touring the world! He just did his first solo concert in the USA in New York December 10th and he was amazing as always! There is so much more to watch and he will never fail to blow you away! I’ve been a fan since hearing his first performance of “SOS” on the Singer competition in China in 2017 and I haven’t been able to go a day without listening to him! You are watchin one of his newer performances. I would recommend you start going back to 2017 Singer Competition because you see a full range of his potential there.. that's how we older dears had followed through week after week. He was not so famous back then, not as good in English and didn't even know Chinese back then. You'll be able to see his growth over the past 2.5 years. His song in Episode 2 is a must not miss because he vowed never perform that song again after a legal issue. If you have not heard Vitas (original singer) version, check that out first before you listen to Dimash. The way Dimash Dimashifies songs awesome. Another example is this song you just reacted to, go listen to the original singer.

What an excellent analysis!! Thank you! I had chills from your reaction to his downwards run in the end. Did you also notice how it's a pentatonic run? Super hard to do pitch perfect!!! Also, his mixed belt there peaked at a Bb5, it's so INSANELY high for a mixed voice, even for female singers!! I so strongly recommend "Ogni Pietra" from his Arnau concert!! It's an amazing song written for Dimash's immense skill and his Arnau performance to me stands out not just because of his vocals, but also because of his stage presence and the arrangement of the instruments!! One important note on this song: Many people request the fancam version of that performance, because you can see Dimash's close-up all the time, but the sound is not good, you will be missing out a bit. I recommend the following video, as it has the official video's HD sound, and it also has the combined fancam footage anyway, so you won't be missing the close-up (which is super important for his technique on this song). I genuinely feel sorry for vocal coaches reacting to Dimash. How can anyone listening to him find fault. Pitch perfect, crystal clear notes, a huge vocal range, and vocal techniques you'd give your right arm for. He is one of a kind. I still find it incredible that someone as talented as him, is simply unknown in certain parts of the world. His talent should be celebrated throughout the world. Basically the only criticisms I've heard against him have been regarding his pronunciation (which is nothing considering the number of languages he sings in) and considering the progress he's made with english in just two years I doubt even that will last long.

The highest note I ever heard him hit was a D8.....in the Gakku concert, he is so good and unbelievable performer. He just did a show recently in New York on December 10th, and it was awesome.

You are watchin one of his newer performances. I would recommend you start going back to 2017 Singer Competition because you see a full range of his potential there.. that's how we older dears had followed through week after week. He was not so famous back then, not as good in English and didn't even know Chinese back then.
You'll be able to see his growth over the past 2.5 years.
His song in Episode 2 is a must not miss because he vowed never perform that song again after a legal issue. If you have not heard Vitas (original singer) version, check that out first before you listen to Dimash. The way Dimash Dimashifies songs awesome.

I didn’t think about that before, but it is the same thing with “Love is Like a Dream”! It’s like they were written for him and just waiting until he was ready to perform them! And he takes them to another level...he changes them and adds parts to them that were never in the original. He is a genius!

That thing where he goes from the highest note possible, and then immediately comes back down low, he does the same thing on a more recent song called "passione". I seem to be the only person who seems impressed by that! I think you will be too. I mean it it happened so suddenly with no preparation!

I really like his Ogni pietra, Ulisse and Screaming( from idol hits), but i like other his performances too.
What an excellent analysis!! Thank you! I had chills from your reaction to his downwards run in the end. Did you also notice how it's a pentatonic run? Super hard to do pitch perfect!!! Also, his mixed belt there peaked at a Bb5, it's so INSANELY high for a mixed voice, even for female singers!!
I so strongly recommend "Ogni Pietra" from his Arnau concert!! It's an amazing song written for Dimash's immense skill and his Arnau performance to me stands out not just because of his vocals, but also because of his stage presence and the arrangement of the instruments!!
One important note on this song: Many people request the fancam version of that performance, because you can see Dimash's close-up all the time, but the sound is not good, you will be missing out a bit. I recommend the following video, as it has the official video's HD sound, and it also has the combined fancam footage anyway, so you won't be missing the close-up (which is super important for his technique on this song). Funny story, the band is actually the original singers of this song. Dimash spoke with them and said that he wanted to do a rendition of their song.

I genuinely feel sorry for vocal coaches reacting to Dimash. How can anyone listening to him find fault. Pitch perfect, crystal clear notes, a huge vocal range, and vocal techniques you'd give your right arm for. He is one of a kind. I still find it incredible that someone as talented as him, is simply unknown in certain parts of the world. His talent should be celebrated throughout the world. Basically the only criticisms I've heard against him have been regarding his pronunciation (which is nothing considering the number of languages he sings in) and considering the progress he's made with english in just two years I doubt even that will last long.

The highest note I ever heard him hit was a D8.....in the Gakku concert, he is so good and unbelievable performer. He just did a show recently in New York on December 10th, and it was awesome.
