Sound Speed Speed Triple 1050 Arrow 3 in 2 fly by with / without DB eater

A soundcheck Video of my 2011 Speed Triple 1050, there are some revs while standing and some flybys with and without the db eater.
The bike has only the arrow exhaust as performance part.
-Arrow 3 in 2 Titan exhaust

Such a nice bike! ^ I have had a new 98, 01, 05, 11, 15 and now a 22 Speed Triple. Bloor Triumphs are fantastic. Just put a Leo Vince on my '22. Sounds incredible and love the looks.

Why are these triple engines so quiet ? Not only the speed triple , also street triple and most MT09s I have heard with full system are not as loud even with full exhaust system it seems compared to many other bikes with other engine types that has full system ? These Speed triples 1050 with the double arrow slipons, they do not sound that much louder without the DB killers, is there still a catalytic converter somwhere on these bikes that makes them more quiet ? If so are the cat in the arrow cans or somewhere on the downpipes or in between ? Thanks for answer.

I didn't notice a big difference just leave the db killer to stay legal

i have the same bike and same arrows. i didnt know you could take the db killer out, how did you do that? and honestly i dont know if its worth it. with the db killer it sounded sharper, without db killer it sounded deeper. maybe the gopro microphone doesnt capture it well enough

I also didn't think it was possible to remove the baffles without drilling out rivets etc. Not something I'd like to do on my bike.

its easy to remove them with a Torx screwdriver

not sure what they are exactly but they look very similar to Tarmac Stealth mirrors

In germany, were this Speed Triple is located, Rizoma is much easier to purchase than the Tarmac Mirrors.

No it doesn’t, but you can do it in the second gear and shift, but it’s a bit difficult with the “special” gearbox 😅
