- www.mybernette... ¦ In the embroidery menu of your bernette 70 DECO or b79 you will find fonts and integrated embroidery designs. Other designs can be selected from a connected USB drive. The size of the embroidery, the required embroidery time and the number of colors are displayed on the screen of your bernette embroidery machine.
In the tutorial video, you'll see how to scale, move, and freely position a selected design. You will also be shown the next steps: select a suitable bobbin thread, switch to the stitch out screen, attach the embroidery hoop, and thread the first required color.
If desired, a basting stitch may be added around the embroidery design or along the hoop. Then you start the embroidery process. The embroidery speed can be adjusted via the slide speed control or the "maximum embroidery speed" in the display.
What do you need to do if your thread breaks or the bobbin is empty? In the video, you can see how to rethread and simply continue to embroider.
Bravo! Bernina made an excellent sewing and embroidery machine, a COPY of the PFAFF machine. Finally, Bernina made a rectangular hoop with the same mount as the PFAFF-Husqvaarna Viking, excellent sewing legs like the PFAFF.

i love the machine but agree the videos are confusing for newbies. I was sold the B79 stating it was easy for newbies to understand due to tutorials but this seems all over the place

Dear, I have a problem with the thread, it often breaks. What could it be because of? And do you need to lower the lower feed when embroidering on the b79? I also have two shuttles in the set, is it tedious to change for embroidery?
Dear Katerina, when the thread breaks often, it can be caused by a poor quality of thread or when using “old” thread. Also changing the needle and reduce the embroidery speed can help.
The feed dog is automatically lowered when you attach the embroidery module. And yes, the second shuttle is like the extra stitch plate for embroidery.

Do you need flash card to run machine
We don’t know what you are meaning with flash card. The machine runs independently and you have a lot of embroidery designs included in the machine. If you want to embroider other designs, you can use an USB-Stick to transfer them. Our free software ArtLink will help you to save your designs on the stick.

My sewing functions work flawlessly but I can’t embroider. I watched all of the tutorials and I keep receiving error messages or my machine stops and makes concerning noises and the needle gets stuck and it broke. It ripped my fabric, too. Do I need to change tension settings? I thought the tension was automatic depending on the design. I only bought the machine less than too weeks ago online. I was so excited about the embroidery feature and now I’m just sad and frustrated 😢

Hi Kostas, the maximum embroidery area is 260x160 mm. The following embroidery design formats are compatible with this machines: VP3, VIP, PEC, HUS, DST, EXP, JEF, PES
I hate that there is no paper manual included. I am printing the one from the web. I hope it is accurate. These videos just go to fast . With not the same in depth explanations. I can’t even change out my sewing platforms. The just pull them on and of like nothing. I am looking for some video but nothing so far. And no I don’t want to take a bunch of classes.
Hi Orchidpaint, thanks for your comment. Since nowadays many people only use the manual digitally, we decided against a printed manual in the machine box. For the video you have the possibility to select subtitles (in the menu on the bottom right) and press pause.

Depending on the used fabric/thread, the bobbin thread may be visible on the upper side. In this case, reduce the thread tension.

does the machine set tension automatically for embroidering? I set it to 0 and then it got set to 4 without me touching it is it normal? the embroidering still worked great so im not complaining it would actually be a lot better if it did set to the right tension automatically
Hello Nanping, yes, the thread tension is set automatically in sewing and embroidery. When using special threads (e.g. metallic threads) it is necessary to adjust it, but normally it works fine with the automatic preset tension.

@@nanping5428 No, the hoops are not compatible. For the b70 series there are three different sizes available, but these are already included with the machine in the standard accessories.

what software can I use to make embroidering patterns, and how many colors can I use.
Embroidery designs can be created with the BERNINA Embroidery Software 9. There is no limitation how many colors you can use, but there is a limitation of 120'000 stitches for the bernette 70 DECO and bernette 79.

Sometimes there are also country specific promotions, then the machines or softwares are offered at a special price. The BERNINA Embroidery Software 9 is usable on Mac via Bootcamp, but there is no Mac version available.

I just bought the b79 and the hoops will not align with the machine! the machine thinks the center is very far off from where the actual center of the hoop is. I tried to embroider a design and the machine went right over the edge of the hoop and broke my needle. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong. I have triple checked and made sure the hoop was on the right setting and everything. Please I am absolutely begging for help.
Hi Dozing Fowl, the first thing is to check the center of the hoop. In the Setup program you have the option « calibrating the hoop » (see page 48 in the instruction manual). Start with the medium size hoop and check if the needle is in the center. Normally it should be there, if not you can center it. Try then with the large hoop. Before stitching a design, please use the check function to avoid, that the needle hits the hoop. If you have still an issue, please contact your local dealer.

Hallo Gini, auf der bernette 70 DECO können alle Designs, die auf der Maschine gespeichert sind, einzeln oder kombiniert gestickt werden. Weitere Designs können mit den mitgelieferten Toolbox-Modulen oder anderen Quellen heruntergeladen und via USB-Stick auf der b70 DECO geöffnet werden. Designs komplett nach eigenen Vorlagen können mit der Sticksoftware 8 erstellt und dann auf der b70 DECO gestickt werden.

My touch screen does not respond. I hate this machine.
Hello Michelle, we are sorry that you have problems with your machine. Please try the following instructions for calibrating the touch screen:
- Switch the machine off.
- Switch the machine on and simultaneously press and hold down the buttons «Needle left/right».
- Recalibrate the display.

Все хорошо, только удивляет баранье упрямство в нежелании русифицировать вышивальную программу Bernina. Неужели до сих пор не доганяете, люди помыкаются, помыкаются с вашей "распрекрасный" программой и подались к конкурентам.
К сожалению сдала эту машину обратно в магазин. Очень слабое челночное устройство.

Целиком и полностью, была Деко 340, но ресурс вышел и понеслась, как по команде. Вслед за машиной оправилась иноязычная програма в то же место, а в отместку и потенциально изделия фирмы.
Выбор сделан в сторону не таких принципиальных китайцев, но машина и программа как будто написана русскими для русских.
