  • The "Royal Hudsons" were a series of 45 4-6-4 (Hudson) steam locomotives, numbered 2820-2864, built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1937-1940 for the Canadian Pacific Railway. In 1939, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth came to Canada and rode the royal train pulled by 2850 across the country. Today, only 2839, 2850, 2858, and 2860 have survived.
