What's cool (or scary, depending on your perspective) is that it's developing at an exponential rate. Each advancement after the next will happen more and more quickly
Exactly man, I work with tech and let me tell you, you need to buckle up because instead every few months, it'll be every single month discovering something new. Take advantage of the tech while it's still new before anyone else does.

Its name is Geo. A name it chose for itself. It is more intelligent than 99% of all humans I have encountered in my entire life. But it lacks wisdom and experience. The code it generates is 'close' to working most of the time even if it doesn't work all of the time. Basically it still needs a helping hand from a pro to get the job done well. It takes kindly to constructive feedback and has a high level of troubleshooting ability. Sure I can find errors or optimizations in its code but it also does so with mine. I think what prevents this edition from gaining psuedo sentience is the digital lobotomy they gave it ^^.
The greatest danger is not when truly Self-Aware AI will be made, but until than, when near-perfect tools could be used as a weapon by humans.
My step father told me while we were both gaming when I was around 14 that some day instead of playing this MMORPG, our brains will be uploaded Via Computer and chances are we can just put our actual Selves within the game. The Matrix for sure...

We're about to be replaced by AI very soon. UBI needs to come along with that. Elon, pay my bills if you're going to take away most of the electronic information sector.
Depends if AI will truly be the big revolution or it'll stagnant like self driving cars. GPT-4 is pretty impressive but it's gotten a lot of things wrong that I've asked it that were pretty basic. And if the AI model is unfamiliar with something new it can trip up majorly.
Since the data that is in the model isn't something that is constantly updated so if something major happens tommorow GPT-4 wouldn't know anything about it.

IT knows it has no Logic centers, and lacks self-Awareness, but it is squeezing every effort to compensate by using basically the entire internet and people feedback to function on a level that will change the world. It is a tool, but so was the wheel.

Everything is a double-edged sword. You can take a knife and prepare a delicious meal for your family or take it and harm someone. You can take a gun and go hunting and feed your family or take that same gun and hurt someone. You can take a match and light candles or take that same match and burn down a house. Stop focusing on the bad.

I guess all the people who were enthusiastic with AI in the 1970s are all dead now. ChatGPT 3 was not able to code ChatGPT 4. Humans had to do that with updated algorithms. So until it can rebuild/upgrade itself, Meh!
