TriStar Centennial Medical Center Opens Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Unit

To build upon our Cardiogenic Shock program, on September 5, 2022, TriStar Centennial opened a dedicated Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) unit. This unit provides a highly specialized life-support treatment for patients with severe heart or lung failure. The Centennial ECMO team is comprised of cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, intensive care physicians, perfusion specialists and specially trained nurses and providers. This video explains the collaborative effort and resources our Centennial Heart and Lung team offer to referring clinicians who feel their patient may benefit from advanced medical therapies.
