      Hi Ray. Yes I will. Thanks for the suggestion. By Coincidence I have a clock on my bench where wheels have been moved to an 'unworn' part of the pinion. I probably will move the wheel back. Yes needs a video. It is really a case of getting to grips with depthing I suppose. We did a pre-publication on Depthing and Bushing that may be of use.     Is it possible to friction fit the collet to the arbor, without the use of a soft solder?

      Hi Hector. Yes it would be or to at least use Loctite. More modern clocks tend to be made that way and I was trying to demonstrate a 'traditional' technique and also warn against moving collets that are fitted this way. Yes I could have drilled under-sixes and broached to a much 'better' fit and as you say, just driven the collet onto the tapered arbor or used modern adhesive. M
