Great to see cruise casino as that's all I play on. Comps are great! Finding low volatility machines is a bit of a struggle.

Thanks for the video, will be cruising on Harmony in October. I've done better in cruise casinos than on land and the comps are good. Just won my first jackpot over the weekend on A Carnival cruise.

If you're cruising off Australia from Au port to Au port, you pay no tax on your winnings. The ship's crew and staff also get Australian award wages whilst working in Oz waters, which is a great bonus for them and a happy crew/staff is a great crew/staff. This info I learned 5 years ago, so whether it is still the case in both points, I don't know. IMO, slot machines should be banned
IRS wants their cut on all US citizens regardless of where you earn it. The trick to Australia may be AU point to point they won’t report it, possibly, but it’s still taxable income…unfortunately

Thanks for posting this. I have always wondered about payouts on a cruise ship, especially on video poker. I'm wondering if high-volatility poker, such as DDB, has better payouts.
Marc If cruise ships have to pay the Nevada rate aren't they about the same? Or do casinos in Nevada pay higher that the state min?
Lots of high volatility machines! They definitely want your dollar. I am also surprised there wasn't a TD. Have a great time!

Nice video! I didn’t realize how modern all of their games would be. I wonder if any cruise ships have old school WMS or IGT machines. Also, isn’t payback percentage over millions of spins? Would each patron really be able to notice a lower payback percentage?

Question, 2 weeks ago someone won the Grand $84,000 on a Dragon Link on a cruise ship. Winner gets paid, attendant opens machine and Grand goes to $73,000. Attendant sees that, opens machine in front of all passengers watching him and the Grand gets reset to $50,000. Is that legal to change the amount of money?????? Thank you

Ive been watching tour videos of the ship I'll be on. I'm seeing a lot of machines where the Grand is just a static number, it seems to be $10k on all the machines. Is this typical, and does that help/hurt chances of hitting it at all?

I finished my RC cruise $450 up which still wasn't enough to pay off my drinks bill...lol Australians love gambling on cruise ships cause we can get comps which land based casinos are prohibited from giving in Australia.
Generally you don’t get “free” cruises… you get “pre-paid” cruises 🤪
6/5 jacks or better is terrible. 7/5 is not much better for high limit. The sweepstakes casinos use 6/5 too, so they are likely as bad or worse than a cruise ship casino when it comes to RTP.

I’ve been on two cruises and hit a royal both times. If you gamble, you’ll receive offers from the cruise lines that are better than land based casinos.

So what's "6/5" mean. I play exclusively Jacks or Better on video poker and have never heard that term.
the majority of paytables use the same pays for everything except the full house and the flush. 6/5 is 6 credits won per credit wagered for full house and 5 per coin wagered on the flush. It results in a ~95% return to player with perfect strategy.
The theoretical payback % should be posted by the cage, would be nice to know that

These slots are setup the same as every other Casino. Them being ✌🏿tighter✌🏿 is a myth
Not always, we just provided proof that the video poker games are set at the lowest possible. I also have some leaked images of showing payback % on slots on casinos. Definitely lower than most land based.

When I went on a Carnival cruise I won the 1000 credits on a 25¢ TOP DOLLAR, one of my very favorite games. But the "classic" not the reissued ones, those are no fun, and I spent 3 days in Yuma trying to enjoy them, I did not. Have a great time. See you soon
