Today, I'm going to take you to Guangzhou South Railway station by High Speed train from Shenzhen North station.
For those travelling from Hong Kong, the easiest way is to take the MTR to Lok Ma Chau then continue the journey with the metro line 4 on the Shenzhen side, it is just 9 stations away and it takes only 25 minutes.

Great video... i have a question.. I will be booking my ticket for guangzhou to shenzhen trip vice versa.. will the ticket show which plaform should i go? or just the gates? because I'm travelling alone and a foreigner. im just afraid that i will take a wrong platform or train 🥹
Hello, upon booking your ticket, platform will not be displayed on your ticket. Platform and gate will usually be displayed 1/2 hours before departure as I could be subject to change. For your information, Guangzhou is a huge station and can fit 20 high speed train at the same time (meaning 20 platforms). Nothing to be worried but suggest you to arrive at least 1 hour before your departure time at the station to clear the security

it will be in chinese but you will easily recognize it based on the train number and time of departure which is quite clear
How long is the time taken to travel from Shenzhen to Guangzhou by high speed train?
Hello, it tales around 35mn by high speed train
its about 45min from shenzhen north to guangzhou south. it is fastest route for guangzhou-shenzhen
there are some other routes may takes longer. most of them take about an hour
btw, before book the ticket, u better check the train code, the code starts with g or d are both high-speed railway, and the train starts with g will be faster than d ones
Hi thanks for sharing. May i check. Is there a need to purchase the high speed rail ticket in advance? Could you advise how i can do so?
You can buy the ticket at the counter for the next train but nowadays, it will most likely be sold out (for the major routes).
In China, ticket can be pre-purchased 14 days before the date of departure and can be either booked through 12306 or trip.com or at the counter

train codes start with d or g both mean high speed railway, and the g ones will be faster than the d ones
